While Samsung hasn't officially come out and said that their new Galaxy Tab will be launching on one of the U.S. national carriers, I think it's pretty safe to assume that there will be at least a couple carriers offering the device. The question is, which ones? According to "three people familiar with the matter" speaking to the Wall Street Journal, the Galaxy Tab will be launching on Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T. Of course this isn't the first time we've heard this information, as the Tab has shown up in Verizon's systems in the past. The tablet also passed through the FCC with AT&T-compatible GSM radios at the beginning of September. As for the Sprint model? It's looking likely that their Galaxy Tab will come equipped with WiMAX, just like the Epic 4G before it.
Considering that Samsung decided to spread its Galaxy S phone to every national carrier in the U.S., as well as a couple of smaller carriers, it shouldn't come as a surprise that they're planning a similar tactic for the Galaxy Tab. The only questions we have about the Galaxy Tab's U.S. debut now are "When?" and "How much?" Thankfully, Samsung is hosting an event next week on September 16th, so we should learn more then.
