Following the FCC's lead, AT&T has decided to out the BlackBerry Torch 9800 before RIM's official announcement today. The device just appeared on AT&T's website, right on the home page. The BB Torch 9800 features a 3.2-inch touchscreen (non-SurePress) with a 480x360 resolution, BlackBerry 6 OS, 5 megapixel camera with flash, Bluetooth 2.1, 801.11b/g/n WiFi, 512 MB of RAM + 512 MB of Flash + 4 GB of Flash + 4 GB MicroSD memory, a 1300 mAH battery, and dimensions of 111 x 62 x 14.6 mm.
It's great to finally see the Torch 9800 official, and I must say it looks like a nice little device. Offering a more traditional portrait QWERTY experience plus a compact size, the Torch 9800 is sure to appeal to several different types of customers. No release date is listed, so perhaps RIM is keeping a little something for themselves at the event today.
