Verizon has unveiled some new promotional plans for select users in Texas and Louisiana, and boy are they interesting. Perhaps feeling a little hit from Sprint and their Any Mobile options, Verizon has begun offering "Unlimited Any Mobile" plans that offer unlimited minutes to any mobile phone, regardless of what carrier the customer belongs to, as well as unlimited text, picture, and video messages. It should be noted that the minutes listed below apply only to calls made involving a landline. Verizon subscribers that are eligible for the new plans can switch without any penalty. The breakdown of plan options looks like this:
Single Line Plans:
Family SharePlans:
If your wireless number begins with one of the following area codes, you are eligible to switch to the new Unlimited Any Mobile plans: 210, 214, 254, 318, 325, 361, 430, 432, 439, 469, 512, 682, 806, 817, 830, 903, 915, 940, 956 or 972. Now let's just hope that the plans go over well enough to get Verizon to implement them nationwide, because then AT&T would be likely to offer similar plans. It's not often we see Sprint do something that impacts Verizon, but it looks like that may have just happened. Are any of you readers able to switch to one of the plans above? If so, which one will you pick?
