Sure, we've already seen Sprint and Samsung's Epic 4G made official and get handled, but there's nothing like a jaunt through the FCC to make a device really real. The Epic passed through the FCC today, although we're still not any closer to a solid release date. Still, now that the Epic has gotten the Feds' approval, a release can't be too far off.
The Epic 4G, which is the Sprint branded version of the Galaxy S Pro, will be the only keyboarded version of the Galaxy S to hit any of the four major carriers, at least for now. That means Android fans who loathe full touch devices have an easy decision to make if they're looking at a Galaxy S device. I'm just glad that we're seeing another 4G-capable device hit the market. I don't know about you, but I've been ready to make the leap to 4G for a while now. How many of you out there have skipped the EVO to wait for the Epic and its 4G goodness?
