While a lot of Android fans have been enjoying their HTC EVO 4G for a couple of weeks now, some users have been reporting Wi-Fi reception issues. The good news, though, is that Sprint may be getting ready to push out an update to solve your woes. Boy Genius Report has been contacted by a Sprint tipster who says the carrier will be releasing a software update for the EVO on June 28th. The fix will reportedly include three updates:
Although it's taken a couple of weeks, I'm glad that Sprint heard the customer complaints and addressed the Wi-Fi problem as well as some other issues. Speaking of updates, now that Google has released the source code for Android 2.2, hopefully HTC will be able to push out the Froyo update for the EVO sooner rather than later.
