Facebook said one year ago that it was working on a redesign for its website, and that new look is now available to everyone.
The new Facebook includes several updates, like the addition of a dark mode that you can turn on so you won't be blinded by a bright white page when it's dark. To turn on dark mode, just click the arrow button in the upper right corner of your screen and toggle the dark theme on.
The updated version of Facebook also aims to help you find things faster with streamlined navigation. Plus, Facebook says that its home page and page transitions load faster to help you get around more quickly.
If you're one to create new groups, pages, and ads on Facebook regularly, this new version has something for you, too. Facebook says you can now more easily create events, pages, groups, and ads. You can also get a preview of a new group that you're making in real time and see what it'll look like for mobile users before you create it.
Faster navigation and dark mode are two features that we love to see added to apps and so it's nice to see the Facebook website getting them. If you've gotten this new-look Facebook and aren't a fan, you can switch back to the "classic" Facebook for now by clicking on the drop-down arrow in the upper-right corner of the screen and selecting "Switch to Classic Facebook".
Has this new Facebook appeared for you? If so, what do you think of it?
