Apple made big news this morning with the announcement of a new iPad Pro, but there's also some exciting news for owners of existing iPad and iPhone devices.
Apple will launch iOS 13.4 and iPadOS 13.4 on March 24th. The major feature announced today is trackpad support, which will be available to any iPad running iPadOS 13.4.
While the Magic Keyboard with built-in trackpad will only support Apple's new iPad Pro and the 2018 models, folks who want to use a trackpad or mouse with their iPad will have other options. Apple says the Magic Mouse 2 and Magic Trackpad 2 are supported, as are third-party mice connected over USB or Bluetooth.
Based on the iOS 13.4 betas that've been released in recent weeks, we know of some other features that are coming with the update. Those include a Mail app that moves the reply and delete buttons futher apart so you don't accidentally delete a message when you're trying to send a reply. Some new folder and compose buttons are in there, too.
The update to iOS 13.4 will bring nine new Animoji and Memoji stickers, too, plus new controls for calls and third-party navigation apps in CarPlay. There are also new keyboard shortcuts for the Photos app and new Settings in the TV app to give you more control over streaming and downloading using Wi-Fi and cellular, such as a data saver mode.
