Verizon and Google are teaming up to get Stadia into more peoples' hands.
Starting January 29th, new Verizon Fios Gigabit internet customers will get a free Google Stadia Premiere Edition package normally priced at $129. That includes a controller, a Chromecast Ultra for playing games on your TV, and a Stadia Pro subscription that'll get you free games, discounts on other titles, and support for 4K resolution and 5.1 surround sound.
Verizon also tells us that this Stadia deal stacks with its free Disney+ offer for Fios customers.
Pricing for Verizon's Fios Gigabit rate plan starts at $79.99 per month with autopay.
While Stadia is still fairly new, Google has committed to making lots of improvements to the service in 2020. That includes support for 4K gaming on the web and added Assistant functionality on the web in Q1 2020. Google also says that there are more than 120 games coming to Stadia in 2020, include more than 10 in the first half of the year that'll be Stadia-exclusive when they launch.
