Verizon Sucks!

Posted on: July 2nd, 2013 by Anonymous

Was promised early termination of a wifi contract. The rep took the time to go through what my current bill would be once I upgraded to an iphone. With 4 months left they didn't cancel the old contract for the wifi I never use or ever call me back. This was via Sharon ex. 5929 of the national call center who never returned any of my calls. Don't trust these lying fucking scumbags at Verizon

counting the minutes until I can change

I have complained to Verizon many times about the lack of service at my home, I am 4 miles from downtown Denver. If I can get 2 bars, I'm lucky. usually just one. I will be switching back to T-mobile as soon as I can. Verizon isn't worth half of what I am paying.

Insurance a waste of money!!!!

Posted on: June 15th, 2013 by Tim McNeely

My phone that I have taken good care of for over 2 years now went belly up. Getting a bootloader D0.11 error. I take it into Verizon and they tell me that I dont have the extended warrenty that nothing they can do for me. I asked about the insurance and was told that this covers the phone being stolen, dropped and broke, etc etc, not a manufacture issue. Told that would be a $99.00 charge to fix it. Only other option is to get a new phone and pay a activation fee along with another 2 year contract. My response was then I should have thrown it down on the ground before walking into the store and would have been covered. To this they had no real response outside of the we can send it in but being a weekend would be Tue or Wed before have it back and would still be the $99.00 charge. Have been with them for over 10 years now and never once had a problem with them (outside of my phone does not get a good reception in my house) when I do have a issue this is the treatment I get.

To busy to give good cusomer service?

Posted on: June 4th, 2013 by Susan Lopez

So my daughters Iphone was manufactured covered for buttons that weren't working correctly. Verizon sends out a new phone and we were to send the broken one back. She drops the phone while packing it up, broke the screen, but sent it off to Verizon anyway. Verizon emails me to tell me the phone is not in stated condition and therefore will charge me $299.00 and will not return my phone. WHAT?? Why would I not be given the option to have my phone returned and fix myself or pay $299.00. The Supervisor informs me that they had to stop their production line of returned phones to take several pictures to document the condition and send an email, but could not take the time to give me that option because they have so many other returns that they can't take the time to do that. Again..WHAT? So even though I have insurance and could have turned the phone in and paid $160.00 to replace the phone, Verizon feels its their decision to make and charge me twice as much because they can't take the time to pull the phone aside and give me the option, because their just to busy!! I suggested that they charge me what the insurance deductible would be, but NOPE!! Thanks for that great customer service, can't wait to renew my contract...NOT!!

Service Problems

Posted on: May 29th, 2013 by Monte Murphy

Cruddy phone service, cruddy customer service. Can't get out of my contract. Been a customer for 13 years, but quitting them when contract is up and never, ever will go back. No excuse for the way they treat people.

Verizon sucks Waste of everything, Worst customer service

Posted on: May 21st, 2013 by Trevor Hall

Droid X the most POS Phone on the market, bought it when it first came out spent $300 bucks on it. Had problems since then, ended up getting a replacement recently and it sucked just as bad, i should have just burnt the $50 i spent. I call Verizon to turn off my service at this point i was too annoyed and frustrated with the phone to even keep the service. The first representative i talked to said that instead of turning off my service she could send me a new phone ( with a new 24 month contract) and keep my service connected. That was a good option for me and i was going to accept the offer, While on hold waiting for the Representative to get back my phone decided it would restart. I spent the next two days trying to get my phone to hold enough charge to where it would turn on. Finally call Verizon back and the new representative tells me that i need to pay a $50 fee to even get a replacement phone and then the phone i can get is one i don't even want. On top of that i called Verizon this morning and they are so stingy that the representative told me they would have to charge me for it (TODAY) because i didn't cancel my account, when i explained to the lady i had called a few days earlier and my phone ( the reason i am calling in the first place) shut off and wouldn't turn back on for 2 days, she said oh well we have to charge you for today.. So let me get this right Verizon would rather me cancel my service and stop paying you guys monthly when i have been a customer for over 7 years. Well shows just how incompetent and unqualified Verizon customer service is and just how much they care about veterans that only get monthly disability. You try to portray yourself as a family oriented company but you fail to uphold basic customer service standards... i see the real Verizon and i will post this exact statement on every review board, Facebook, twitter and anything else i can get the public to read in order to further my opinion of Verizon and share my experience with potential customers (suckers). sincerely pissed off 7 year customer who cut his service today over Verizon making a non-sensical $50 one time fee. Edit - And they deleted my first review i guess it was just to blunt and honest for them

Nothing but a SCAM

Posted on: May 20th, 2013 by sharon adeh

I have been giving Verizon business for 12 YEARS, and when I called to make a change to my plan by adding another line (basically give them MORE business), they literally told me my bill would be doubled!!! I am paying for services I don't even use, so when I asked to at least get a different plan that charged more more fairly for what I DO use, they couldn't offer me anything!! I have been of the phone for OVER AN HOUR to get NOTHING! I asked to cancel my plan and move my business elsewhere, and they said they would charge me $200 simply for not being able to make me happy! STAY AWAY FROM VERIZON! TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE, DON'T BE AN IDIOT LIKE ME, PEOPLE! Stay FARRRR away!

Waste of money

Posted on: May 12th, 2013 by Brie Mandarino

My fiance and i signed a 2-year agreement in December of 2011 with brand new phones. Our monthly bill was $180, which we soon changed to the share everything plan but they were still charging us $165; every month they would tell us we were going over in our data, but when we would check it ourselves on our phones or by going in to a store we were fine, but yet they would still charge us for it. Our phones didn't even last the year before they started dying out, but they wouldn't let us purchase new ones for anything less than $250. Then we moved to Taylor Mill and couldn't even get service in our own home. So now that we've cancelled our service 8 months early, they are trying to charge us $450 PER PHONE!!! Our contract clearly states that they can charge us UP TO $350 PER ACCOUNT, definitely not $450 and definitely not per phone. Signing a contract with Verizon was nothing but a constant hassle and rip-off. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I hope yall actually read these reviews & take our personal experience into consideration. I'm so happy that I didnt' get my wireless internet & my laptop from Verizon, What they were charging me, I would've still owed them 1 of my arms & both legs! I got both for soooooo much cheaper, same service & everything is working so great. So hope you all do research into places before spending all of your money.

RIP OFF

Posted on: May 2nd, 2013 by Anonymous

I have been a customer for four years. I have monitored my contract end date, because everytime I upgrade, the plan I have is OF COURSE no longer available; the new plans have less minutes, or less data, etc. AND COST MORE. The day was approaching so I switched to Straight Talk. All is GREAT! After making sure contacts changed over and notified, I call Verizon to cancel service. ONLY TO FIND OUT THE CONTRACT END DATE IS NOW END OF THIS MONTH!?!?!?! AND even if they still showed contract end date was last month, and it is now the second day of the following month, I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH!!!!!! FOR TWO DAYS OF SERVICE!!! They will not waive this month, and will charge me $120 each for my two phones to cancel today, because the contract end date is now different than last week. If you go with Verizon, coverage is great, but you will feel it in the wallet for sure. Prepare to grab your ankles....
