Sprint

Posted on: February 25th, 2017 by Amartinez_13

Sprint is by far the worst phone company I have ever had. They do not value their customers and will not work with you. I have two phone lines and one of the phones were stolen. So it was up for an upgrade and I went to the store to get a new phone then told me that because I did not have my stolen phone that I could not get the upgrade without paying over $200. I then upgraded my other phone line and spent $300 dollars and figured I would contact asurion for the stolen phone. When I contacted asurion I asked if they could add the deductible of $200 to my phone bill which I've done numerous times before. Asurion insurance then stated that sprint is the only one who can approve that. I then waited for 45 minutes and explained this to a rep then supervisor and manager in which none of them could help. My account is not past due delinquent or anything and still nothing to accommodate me seeing I just spent 300$ on another line. I am definitely switching from them they are by far the worst phone company

Sprint

Sprint honesty sucks! I am in a two year contract with them and I can not wait to get out of it. I have unlimited everything, paying almost $100.00 every month and I don't have service any where I go. I have to be on wifi every where I go just to be able to go on the internet. The moment I'm out of wifi, I can not do anything regarding the internet. It gets me so aggravated because I'm paying double for sprint when I had cricket before and I didn't even need wifi to have service! Blows my mind. I tried to at least get my bill lowered and instead of doing it, they kept talking me out of it. Super annoyed with them, would NOT recommend.

I wish I could put 0 stars. Sprint has been one of the WORST companies I have ever had to deal with. I canceled my service through Sprint and went through Verizon ( which i have been VERY pleased with their customer service.) I was on my sister-in-laws plan. When i canceled i hadn't had the chance to send the phone back yet since i was getting my photos off of it and such. They have told my sister-in-law that they are going to stop her service since they haven't gotten the phone back and the extra that was due on my line was not paid. I called and spoke to a very nice lady the first time through the direct financial line and she let me know i owed 87 dollars and then i would have till the 20th to pay the remaing 187 which was due for the device. this was the 13th that i spoke with them and they were that day sending out the device kit to send back the phone. Which i was obviously not going to receive the kit AND be able to send the package back by the 20th. I received the kit around the 18th the 19th was a Sunday, the 20th was a holiday and i am just now able to send the phone back. my sister in law just let me know that they text her and let her know that they were going to shut her phone off on the 24th if the amount of the 187 was not paid ( which is for the phone) i called the financial line again and spoke with a man name Sally, He interrupted me the whole time and was so rude i had to finally hang up on him and call back to get someone else. In the end we still have to pay the 187 and they will not refund the money till they get the phone back. The most frustrating part is Sprint literally set me up to pay the amount. I didn't get the kit till the 18th but was supposed to have it back to them by the 20th?? and when i did call and tell them that i was sending it back (on the 21st) they said that if it isn't paid or the phone wasn't back before the 24th that they would cancel my sister-in-laws lines because MY phone ( which is canceled) was not back. {PLEASE PLEASE if you are thinking about becoming a sprint costumer , DONT!!!! there has been nothing nice that i could say about sprint. I had been a costumer for 5 years and in those 5 years i had HORRID service and even more HORRIBLE costumer service through the years. Trust me i went through enough pain and sorrow save yourself and go with someone other than sprint.

Sprint---the worst

Posted on: February 15th, 2017 by lisalewis

If I could give customer service a minus I would have. 5 minutes to try and get to a live person and then they hang up on you. Noone understands what you are saying and vice versa....Don't do it!!!!!!

Sprint Insurance beware

Posted on: February 9th, 2017 by Howardtheduck

I am currently renting a Samsung S6 from Sprint and have had problems with this phone the charging port has fried out from charging it in my car. I brought the phone to the Sprint Service Center and they told me that my phone has water damage and my phone has never been exposed to water to get out of fixing it. After spending 2 days dealing with getting a new phone which should be covered since I pay them money every month for insurance they tell me to call Asurion there insurance company who then proceeds to tell me I will have to pay a $200 dollar deductible on a phone I do not own and is faulty. Now mind you this i was just in sprint not even two weeks ago and they told me it would be $200 dollars to buy out of the contract to upgrade my phone which I am due for an upgrade on but only if I pay $200 dollars to buy out of my current contract. So basically a company I have been with for 15 years and have been loyal to has decided that my money and time spent with them is not worth keeping my as a customer. I highly recommend never buying a service a contract with Sprint because they will make up excuses to charge you to fix your phone that you are renting from them so you have to pay a deductible instead of doing the right thing and replacing your phone for free there is no loyalty from Sprint and they offer new customer's better deals then they do existing customer's of 15 years seriously beware of their shady practices as a company.

Stay Away from Sprint....At All Costs.

Posted on: February 2nd, 2017 by cammyben

I want to start out by saying I am not the type of person who writes reviews on every interaction or experience I encounter. However, I feel compelled to write a review about Sprint in hopes that I may sway potential customers to stay far, far, far away. I bought a phone/plan in December 2014. The phone was on lease, which was a terrible idea on my part. I made payments on the device for 24 months and when the cost of the phone was paid in FULL in Dec 2016, I was notified by Sprint that I'd need to pay an additional $200 to keep the phone. This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of? Essentially, since the phone was "on lease" I was paying to temporarily borrow the phone, which is how normal leases work, but this is NOT WHAT THE REP TOLD US AT TIME OF PURCHASE. I would have never decided to lease if I knew the phone would end up costing more than retail price. Why not just be upfront and honest about future costs? If this had been communicated to me at the beginning, I would have opted for the purchasing payment plan - not the lease. Many times during our contract, unexpected & ridiculous costs were added to our monthly bill. I constantly had to call and question what these charges were for and I was talked down to, disrespected, and made feel stupid by the person on the other end of the line more than once. They're customer service is by far the worst I've ever had to deal with and I'm not just talking about phone service industry - I mean the worst of the worst I've EVER dealt with. Moving on, I decided to switch providers because why wouldn't I? Only someone who wasn't in their right mind would put up with this type of subpar customer service and subpar phone service. It was a nightmare getting in touch with Sprint in order to get them to unlock my phone number so that it could be ported to another phone/provider (Verizon). All in all, a call that should have been no more than half an hour lasted almost 4 hours. Once this was completed, I was able to successfully transfer my number to Verizon (Thank God). Now that I have switched over, I've been trying to return the phone that had been leased. The first attempt I made, I was told I needed to fix the 2 cm screen crack on my phone. Fine. It was tiny, but that's understandable. I went to another store and got the phone fixed. I went back to Sprint, and then was told that they'd need my Apple ID password in order to accept the device. This was frustrating, because I did not remember the password, which is my own fault. However, the rep at the store could have made this known the FIRST TIME I was there and told to get the screen fixed. So I return to the store for the 3rd time with a repaired screen and apple password and was told that the location I was at did not accept devices. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Now I will need to make a 4th trip to a hell of a Sprint store to get this over and done with. I have never been more excited for a break-up. They are the worst. Stay Away!!!

Horrible service with a lack of caring

Posted on: June 13th, 2016 by Huskydad

I have been with Sprint for going on 18 months and within that period I may have been happy for a few weeks. It's very unfortunate because I was initially very excited about the switch but quickly learned that Sprint does not produce the services that they continually boast about. The coverage is horrible and continues to be that way. In Maine the coverage is so horrible that just 4oo meters away form the Sprint store begins the dead zone or roaming zone. If they are going to continue boasting perhaps they need to rethink whether they are truly being truthful or simply luring people in with a false promise of great service. They will never be the cell phone company they want to be using these deceitful tactics. My son goes to school in Maine and lives in an area that is considered roaming so that every week (within a few days) his data is turned off for roaming since he goes over the small roaming amount they offer. When we visit it takes on average one weekend before we are over as well. Poor way to be able to communicate. There are times that the messages do not go through until either the next day or some time several days. I am counting the days until I can leave Sprint. I can't tell you how many people I work with ask about the Sprint service and I definitely don't hold back on my displeasure of the company. I do encourage them to go to any other company but Sprint. If it was possible ot give no stars I would but one is the least I can offer.

Sprint is a nightmare!!!

Posted on: March 5th, 2016 by Iraqibob

About the only good thing I have to say about Sprint is that the actual phone service seems to be satisfactory. Other than that, Sprint has been nothing but a nightmare for both me and my fiancee. First, In July 2015 I bought a Samsung because I wanted to upgrade my phone service. I ended up switching to Sprint because my Samsung was not compatible with the other phone service I had at that time. It turns out that the Samsung was not worth the money I paid for it. In the six months I had the Samsung, it had to be replaced two times as it kept overheating and shutting down. Simply put, if you buy a phone from Sprint, you better make sure you purchase their protection plan as its been my experience that they are junk!!! Second, Sprints customer service is severely flawed. It's my opinion that they only want the money. I cancelled my service in January 2016 because of incompetence on their part. Then in February 2016 I received a statement from a bill collector stating that I owe Sprint 137.00 dollars. I never received a bill from Sprint until after I disputed the amount owed and only after receiving the notification from the bill collector. Dealing with Sprint's customer service is a joke. It took talking with no less than four service representatives to get the service cancelled. And then when asked what the bill is actually for, one representative told me it was for service prior to cancelling. A week later, another representative told me that it was for service because nobody took the time to cancel it. Then she said she would finally cancel it. Sprint has lied to me. They've told me that a manager would call back later and it's no shocker that I'm still waiting for that call. It's my opinion that Sprint is a shady company and for the love of God, I will never do business with Sprint or any of their affiliates ever again!!!

Communication at the speed of smoke signals

Posted on: October 1st, 2015 by General Zod

If Sprint weren't the cheapest option and/or decided to drop unmetered data they would cease to exist as a company inside of a week. Anything more than zero bars is a divine miracle. And data? There is no data, not 4G, 3G, 0G. Getting a call not to drop is a freak event. You can't even get a signal in the corporate stores. They put in their own femtocells to trick customers. You get better coverage sticking your head out the window and screaming. As far as the phones they sell, go with Apple or Samsung. Nothing else actually works. And the Samsungs are typically 2 years old. If I were Sprint I'll exit the branded retail business entirely and stick with the prepaid ghetto burner phone business. For more than 15 years their mantra has been "be patient, we're improving!". No, they're not, they will never improve they will only get worse until they slowly wither and die.

Scam artists and bold face liers

Posted on: September 23rd, 2015 by MissxNurse

I've had nothing but bad luck since the start. I only signed up for sprint because it was cheaper and Verizon was going up in price. (Verizon did send me multiple letters that they were and that they apologize for the inconvenience.)So I join Sprint because I could get a new phone every year. (At the time they were the only ones who did that.) If I left I could just pay monthly payments on whatever I owed on the phone or return the phone and be done. Then I got my first bill and they charged me double. The next bill and they didn't charge me and it was just back and forth of owing them more then what I signed up for and then they would not charge me as much on the next bill. Then my service is terrible, I can't get service unless I'm in a big town. So I called Sprint one day about canceling and that I was unhappy about my service. Well they told me it will be $500 to cancel and sent me a signal booster that I did not want but they swore up and down that it will be free at 100% no cost to me no matter what. Well I recieved my signal booster and in the box was a letter stating that I will owe $100 for the thing! So I called Sprint and demanded that it be return and asked how much again would it be to cancel, I was told $500. Well they sent me out the wrong size return box.. so I called again and was told I could just take my unopened box to any sprint store and they will return it for me. Also has a conversation again about canceling. The lady on the phone told me that it will be $500 to cancel and nicely explained to me that, that is what I owed on the phone and then even told me that Sprint will buy back my phone for $400. So I go to the sprint store that day to return the box but they told me that I must return it by mail. Then I canceled my service and was told that once I get my final bill I'll just send back the phone and I won't owe anything! Well the story gets worse I go to check my sprint account and I owe $720. Now where in the world did this $720 come from I don't have a clue so I called Sprint AGAIN. They told me that, that was how much I owed on my phone and that I can send my phone back to them and they can take off $200... I asked about the whole paying off my phone monthly and apparently that was a lie too. I spoke to a supervisor and basically got the cold shoulder and was told that the bill will be due in two days or I can just sign up for Sprint again... Really Sprint? Why would I or anyone return to a company that continues down a road of lies!? The kicker too was I asked them to CANCEL my auto-pay and delete my card from the account and was told it was done before I got off the phone with them. I go on my account to make sure because they have lied to me how many times now why believe them now? Guess what it was never done! I swear worst company every I wish I had never left Verizon. Paying less doesn't actually mean you will be paying less because they sure like to find ways to charge you.
