No Problems

Posted on: November 14th, 2007 by M Phillips

The good: Pretty much everything. The bad: None.Summary: Most people write reviews when something bad happens or they are unhappy with something, but no one hardly ever writes about companies when they are pleased with their service. After reading these reviews, I would like to say that I love sprint. I've never had a problem with them. I get great service and can do just about anything with my phone. If I'm out with friends, and they want to know baseball or football scores, I can look them up very easily and quickly. I can check my eBay bids, send and receive pictures, look up the weather and traffic, etc. It doesn't cost an arm and a leg for the services I have and I love sprint.

There will always be some that will never be pleased

Posted on: November 3rd, 2007 by erica klyver

The good: The phone worksThe bad: I pay for what i use, so what do i have to complain aboutSummary: i have come to the conclusion that there are way too many people out there that can't live a fruitful life unless they create drama to make themselves feel more important than they are. i have had cell phones for years. generally speaking, not everyone will EVER be pleased. i ordered my service. i ordered my phone. i don't go over my minutes. my phone works most of the time. i don't get my panties in a bind if it isn't perfect all of the time. i get charged for what i use and then i pay the bill. it is about as simple as that. i have no sympathy for individuals that can't simplify their lives and have to take it out on complete strangers. get over yourselves and change your attitude. in the long run, it is a much more pleasant way to live your life in all of its aspects. "that is all i have to say about that."

Worst Customer Service I've Experienced

Posted on: October 30th, 2007 by Jennifer Lyons

The good: Nightime minutes starting at 7pmThe bad: Customer Service, contractsSummary: I canceled my plan about a year ago because i was deploying overseas. When i came back a year later to start a new plan there was a charge over $300 sitting in my account. Turns out that the representative i talked on the phone with never actually canceled my plan. After following all the rules to cancel the plan guess who the blame was placed on? Luckily, i had a wonderful representative in person at the store who was on the phone with customer service for me dealing with this issue which was finally resolved after an hour on the phone. Although i did have to pay the $250 deposit, I'm still determining whether sprint is who i want to stay with. Recently i tried to add another line and i was told by a store representative that i needed to call customer service. I called over there and spoke to about 4 different people who told me 4 different things i needed to do (which i barely understood). So i got fed up and asked where exactly i was calling and was told the Philippines. Hmm... reminds me of the days i had a Compaq computer and tried dealing with those representatives. After one more attempt of calling customer service i was told to go to a sprint store. Got to love the run around. Anyone looking to start a sprint plan, i would seriously recommend reading the rest of these reviews. Very helpful.

Just want what I asked for!!!

Posted on: October 25th, 2007 by Jackie Moore

The good: The only thing keeping me here is the $200 charge for going somewhere else. The bad: Pick a letter and I'll give you a reason.Summary: I am so sick of being charged and double charged for any service they provide. The 9.99 charge to all three of my phones for something that they knew my phone could not even use. They change my plan at will and for the last three months I have been over charged an average of $45 each month. I just spent 45 minutes on the phone with customer service which is a joke. These carriers need to be investigated for fraud.

With Sprint for 10 years -- Finally dumped them

Posted on: October 11th, 2007 by Scott Mandell

The good: Good coverage at most airports, coverage in the US Virgin IslandsThe bad: Awful customer service, can't understand their Indian accents, incompetent and uncaring.Summary: I was relatively happy with Sprint until recently. I've been with them literally for 10 years, so you would have thought they'd want to keep me as a customer. I guess not!2 yeas ago I added a second phone to my account which added $10/month to my bill. I needed the second line for business reasons. Once the contract was up last month, I decided I didn't need that second line anymore, so called to cancel. When I called the rep said sorry that is your "primary number" and you can't cancel it without canceling all lines of service. I told her that didnt make sense -- my other line I have had since the 1990s!!! And this line is the one I ADDED.Sorry they said, they only way you can cancel that line would be to sign up for a new 2 year contract for your other line. After talking to several reps and supervisors they would do nothing about it. So, I canceled my entire account. Poof. Yea I had to pay a $150 cancellation fee but that's better than staying with these $%&*@ for another 2 years. Nice they took into account that I have been with them for 10+ years and spent countless thousands$$ with them.I switched to T-Mobile and so far am extremely happy. Their Customer Service answers in 1-2 minutes insted of 10-30 for Sprint, and the reps are from the USA -- and are friendly! Amazing!

Sprint / nextel

Posted on: October 8th, 2007 by Anonymous

The good: Can't really come up with any at this timeThe bad: Worst customer service ever experiencedSummary: I have yet to have a pleasent experience with this company. Any time I have a problem, it is a fight to try to get it resolved and 99% of the time there is NO resolution. The last time I called because of charges on my bill that were not supposed to be there, the rep hung up on me. I would not recommend this carrier to anyone.

Good except for contract extensions and customer service

Posted on: October 1st, 2007 by Some One

The good: Great network coverage. Rarely dropped calls, decent phones. The bad: Customer service is awful, usually do not speak English, Sprint partially cripples phones by locking them, and contracts are extended when you change your plan.Summary: Ok, in WV, _all_ cell carriers have spotty coverage as you travel down the state. It's the landscape's fault(mountains everywhere). Sprint is better than most, covering areas around the interstates and in the cities. I do roam successfully on nearly any backwoods network around It amazes me that I get such good coverage witht he tiny internal antenna my phone has. Customer service from Sprint is awful, but you can completely avoid it by going to Radio Shack stores(I have no affiliation but being a customer). Radio Shack is an authorized Sprint reseller, and they provide tech support for Sprint phones and plans, especially if you get your Sprint account at Radio Shack to begin with. This way, you call your local Radio Shack, they speak English, they help you out, or call their "special" tech support line and get the answer for you. The other day, after 1 hour on sprint customer support line with no resolution, I had the answer in 5 mins after calling my Radio Shack store. If you buy your phone from Radio Shack, and it doesn't work right when you get it home, take it back ASAP, and Radio Shack will replace it and deal with Sprint for you. In essence, let THEM deal with Sprint's pitiful customer service for you, and you'll be much happier. I don't like that Sprint has partially crippled my Katana, disabling bluetooth file transfers becuase they're greedy (want me to use Vision for all transfers). My previous carrier did not do this, and I miss being able to transfer photos and sounds by bluetooth. The last item is that contracts are extended if you chagne your base plan. However, all the cell phone companies do this, and with Sprint you still accrue future discounts for a new phone based on how long you've had your old phone; not true of all other carriers. So they have faults, some of which are avoidable, most of which are shared by all cell companies in this area.

I hate sprint - but, then, who doesn't?

Posted on: September 26th, 2007 by Silas Huff

The good: N/AThe bad: customer service, price, coverage, pretty much everything you need in a providerSummary: They've been sucking my money for years, and I've been too cheap to cancel my account and pay the fee. The bill is always too high. The service sucks. In mid-town Manhattan (the capital of American commerce) I can't make or receive a call...no signal. But the single worst thing about Sprint is the customer service. Their policy is "screw the customers." You can't get help. They can't do it right. They will change your service, dump your voicemail, cut off your service, not provide coverage, charge too much, and lots of other stuff, and they don't feel badly about it. It seems they re-start my contract every time I call them for info on my plan, so my 2-year agreement has been going on for about 6 years. I NEVER receive a bill in any form, but about every two months they shut my service off because I haven't paid my bill. This, of course, is embarrassing and bad for business. I could do automatic billing...but read a few reviews--you'll see that giving them your credit card number is a horrible idea. Recently I bought a Moto Q online for $300. It was supposed to arrive in 2-3 days, but when a week had passed I called to see where it was. My order had been "closed." Why was mu order cancelled? "Not cancelled," the man corrected me, "closed" (which is the same thing). They never informed me, didn't refund the money, didn't apologize, and had not intention of informing me. They were wating for me to call them, I guess. No one could explan why it happened. I had to keep calling them because I was placed on hold, sometimes for 20-25 minutes. The third girl I asked about the cancellation said "It was a fluke. We honestly don't know why these things happen." I asked for my money back, and they offered to send another phone. I needed it right away ("That's why I ordered it a week ago!"), so I spent 2.5 hours on the phone with 5 different people trying to get a refund. I just wanted a refund. They offered me a credit. No thanks. The gave me a credit anyways and said it would appear on my account in 2-3 months. This person (#4) told me they don't give refunds. Their policy is to give credits, and that's the ONLY way I'd get my money back. I hung up immediately and called back. Person #5 claims that the money will be back on my credit card in 72 hours. Is this an f-ing joke? It's bad service, and it's actually criminal. It's fraudulent and in plain english, it's theft by deceit. I've "lost" hundreds--maybe thousands--of dollars because I didn't have the time or endurance to deal with their customer service people. I used to think my time was worth more than the money, but now I look back and see that I could've save a LOT of money very easily...I have every intention of cancelling my account as soon as I get that refund. Another reviewer on this site said what I've know for a long time and simply havne't acted on it: it's much cheaper in the long run to get rid of Spring immediately.

Whatever you do.... Don't get Sprint

Posted on: September 15th, 2007 by Wesley Fleet

The good: Great phones. And yes, that is the only pro.The bad: Oh, let me count the ways.1. Customer Service lies through their teeth literally. When they make mistakes they try to manipulate it into being your fault. And after hours on the phone with them to get them to finally see the err of their ways; they promise you stuff (free phones, $25 discounts, etc.) to show their appreciation to have you as a customer. Well I got a Moto Q for free just to have them add the price into the next bill. On top of that, they bundeled another 2 year agreement Summary: WARNING: Use Sprint at your own risk. And keep a close eye on that bill. If it seems too high, it probably is. Don't get any share plans. And run as fast as you can. It's cheaper to break the agreement in the long run. Trust me.

Horrible Customer Service

Posted on: September 6th, 2007 by Cretia S.

The good: Mobile to Mobile; Nights start at 7pmThe bad: Being under a contract for 2 years everytime you add a service or upgrade. CUSTOMER SERVICE!Summary: I have been with Sprint for about 10 years. For the past 2 years I would say the company is going down, down, down. My lastest experience is trying to get a battery for my daughter's phone since Aug 11th. I took the phone to a Sprint store and was told the batteries were out of stock and they would order me one should take about 3-5 business days. Check back within that timeframe to find out the battery was never ordered and they were clueless as to what I was speaking of, stated they would order one. Called back to check on it about a week later and they had me on hold for 40 minutes researching the problem, I just hung up. I called their customer service line, was on hold forever and finally was told if I take it into the store I wouldn't have to pay the $50 deductible. So I call around to several Sprint stores in my area and I find one that say they have the battery, I get there and they say it is the wrong battery and they dont have the one I need in stock, so they order me one, today is 9/6 I still don't have the battery. I ask for the corporate office to file a complaint and was told to go to Sprint.com under feedback. Mind you they are just as clueless as speaking with a customer service rep on the phone. I can't believe they are making it this difficult to get something as simple as a battery. If things continue like this I can see Sprint not being around as long as they would like. Unfortunately I have to put up with this service till 5/08, but will definitely switch companies after that.
