Sprint is aweful!

Posted on: July 10th, 2008 by s h

The good: Good coverage, few 'dead zones'The bad: Aweful customer service!! I get charged for games I never purchase, every month. Many other incorrect charges, but can't rectify because their customer service agents can't communicate, and don't know what they're doing.Summary: Don't go with Sprint. I'm dropping them as soon as my contract is up (if not sooner).

Sprint tries, but fails

Posted on: July 7th, 2008 by Alex McPherson

The good: Cheap for a family planThe bad: Everything. dropped calls, TERRIBLE customer service, about once a month the network freezes for about 5 mins around 10-11 pm/. Nickel and dime you for everything else/ no iphoneSummary: Stay away from Sprint. I would rather pay the extra $10-15 a month with ATT for quality. And they dont have an iphone clone (the Instinct is not even close- too bad the $150 million they spent on advertising). Customer service is a joke. No wonder people are leaving them. I dont have the number, but if call retentions, you can whine to them and threaten to leave cause they'll give you free stuff like money off your bill and free ringtones

sprint customer service should be named sprint hates their "customers" service

Posted on: June 27th, 2008 by kim mcla

The good: No pros that are worth dealing with Sprint customer service. The bad: Terrible customer service!!! Customer service stinks!! Did I say they have bad customer service?!! Sprint customer service sucks!!Summary: Don't use Sprint, you'll be sorry because their customer service is awful!! They do not care about their customers! My last and final problem with Sprint was this week when I tried to add a service to my plan. I was on the phone with customer service for over an hour trying to add Sprint family locator service to my plan. HELLO! Customer wanting to pay more money!! You would think that they would want more business. After 3 CSRs (who had heavy accents and were almost impossible to understand), a supervisor (who also had a heavy accent and was nearly impossible to understand), 2 emails, and a failed attempt at chatting, I still do not have the service I requested. I am currently looking for a new cell company. I can't believe Sprint is still in business!! They run their customers off! I will never use Sprint again!!

Don't Recommend

Posted on: June 23rd, 2008 by Jenny H

The good: cool new phonesThe bad: reception, customer service, priceySummary: They do have cool new phones, but unless you qualify for the upgrade, you'll be paying $200-$500 for a new one. When I first joined sprint the signal was fairly good, but within the last year or so my phone is always roaming. Then you have to pay all those roaming charges. It costs $20 to add another line, and they keep upping the price for text messaging. Don't even try to call customer service if your first language is english because theirs isn't. You have to wait on hold for what seems like forever, and when you finally get to talk to someone, you can't understand them, and they can't understand you.

Sprint No More

Posted on: June 17th, 2008 by Linda Wilder

The good: Nextel PTTThe bad: Sales reps, customer service, refuse to stand behind phone salesSummary: Had to replace a worn out phone --Purchased from Sprint owned store w/30 day unconditional guaranty. Sure !! Returned phone in 2 weeks due to dropped calls and turning off randomly -- store employee says "StinksTo Be You!" and refused to replace -- customer service (5 calls - 4 hrs on phone- landline) - one rep said you should have reached over the counter and smacked the guy!! Cute, huh?? Was not interested in who it was -- just laughed!! What idiots -- they need a reality check!!

Sprint has great potential!

Posted on: June 17th, 2008 by Maggie Olk

The good: Great selection of phones. Very good customer service. Great selection of ringers and games. The bad: Poor reception in my area, expensive plans.Summary: I have been using Sprint since I got my first cell phone back in 2000, so I've been using it for 8 years! They've grown a long way and have gotten better, but sad to say, for all their potential, they still fall short of what I need and it's time to switch carriers. The reason I am leaving, and my biggest complaint, is reception. It's terrible. At home I can barely get a signal. It's definitely gotten better over the years, but I have to pay for a home phone. To me, if I still need a home phone, then it defeats half the reason of having a cell phone! When I'm in another state, reception is perfect, but it's so spotty in Suffolk County that I never know where I will get a decent signal! Sometimes I have a good signal, but it still won't connect. It's frustrating. Dropped calls, waiting for texts to go through, and error messages while attempting to be load web pages are pretty common. I admit that Sprint used to be much worse. However, after 8 years, I think I've waited long enough. I'm tired of paying extra for a home phone and tired of having to check to make sure that all my texts have gone through (if it can't go through, it's automatically sent in the Draft folder and I've not checked once or twice and realized days later that a text I sent never went through. Ugh!). It's frustrating when I tell a friend to call me to give me informatation and get a notifaction that I have a message, but the phone never rang. The odd things is that the rare times that my friends and family on other plans haven't had a signal, I've been the only one to have one! That's pretty rare though. When they offered roaming for free, I was so happy. I figured now I could finally use my phone in places that everyone else could using the roaming, but unfortunately, it was a flop. Many times it will bounce back between Sprint service and roaming and I watch this while waiting to get a connection, and wait and wait and wait. If I do get a connection, it's spotty and quickly drops the calls. I used to have my phone set to beep when it switched between Sprint and roaming but had to shut it off as the damn phone would beep all day long! Another frustrating thing is that Sprint boasts, or at least used to boast, about static-free calls and they were right! In all these years with Sprint, there have been echoes, but never static. Ever. Well, until now!! Several times in the past month or two when using my phone in various places I've gotten staticy connections. I checked to see if I was roaming and I wasn't! So much for static-free calls. It was the one thing that Sprint had above all other carriers, I believe. Oh well. Not anymore. As for the plans, I think they are expensive compared to some other carriers, such as T-Mobile, which I just switched to. Not so much the basic minute plan, but the extras. It costs an additional $15/month for web access, which includes picture mail. However, oddly enough, it includes unlimited u

Problems with billing

Posted on: June 5th, 2008 by Rebecca Cox

The good: I seem to have decent coverage. The bad: I set up automatic billing from my checking account. They took out one payment and then didn't after that. They sent me a text message saying to pay my bill and I do not have texting. I ignored it because I knew they were wrong. Then I got an e-mail saying I owed a lot of money. I again thought they are wrong. I hadn't received my next statement to see if they took out the payment. I went to use my phone and it redirected me to customer service and wouldn't allow incoming or outgoing callSummary: I do not recommend Sprint. I am also told all the time that people can barely hear me. I don't know if it is their service or my phone.

Sprint Rocks!!

Posted on: May 30th, 2008 by Joe smith

The good: Helpful customer service reps. Eager to please. Great selection of phones. Reasonably priced plans with awesome features. Other carriers charge way more for the same thing. Great value for the money. Love the "Everything" plan--The bad: Can be on hold longer than I want for customer service...not exclusive to Sprint/Nextel.Summary: I've been with Sprint for 10+ years. They value my patronage by treating me well. Great perks. They go the extra mile to keep me happy. People shouldn't get on the band wagon and bad mouth them. They do try to get things fixed. It pays to not be a frequent switcher.

Sprint Stinks!

Posted on: May 22nd, 2008 by Anonymous

The good: Good receptionThe bad: The worst customer service department ever. Once you have a problem it will never get resolved but will compound. They will promise to fix it but won't; they will promise credits for your trouble but you will never see them; they will keep you on hold for hours and hours and you will be as frustrated as me and have to pay to get out or file a lawsuit to get it fixed.Summary: I just wanted an itemized statement. They couldn't do it. Instead they promised me they could and not to pay until they sent it but they never did and then tacked on late charges which they promised to remove but they didn't. They changed my plan on me without my permission assuming that I wanted more minutes. They promised to fix it but didn't and now they want me to pay for all the mistakes they made and promised to fix but didn't. Sprint is great if you like getting screwed out of your money and treated poorly.
