Horrible Customer Service

Posted on: January 2nd, 2012 by Anonymous

This is the WORST cell phone company ever. They treat people like garbage and do not notate accounts like they are supposed to. They do not care about you at all and make you feel like a piece of garbage. Their customer service reps are untrained and very unprofessional. I will be switching back to Verizon as soon as our contract is up. Their fees are also rediculous!

Horrible Customer Service/ Nightmare Phone

Posted on: January 2nd, 2012 by Anonymous

I have the EVO, which has given me more headaches than any phone I have had. I have been a long time customer and share a family plan. We have never used our upgrades. Customer service told me a different thing everyday regarding our issue. You know how people are if they have been dealing with rude people all day? Well I was approached in a condescending tone ( actually wish I had recorded it), as if I was one more person trying to argue and start a fight, when I really just wanted my issue fixed and thought that keeping two long term customers was important. It is not important to Sprint to keep you as a customer. They have had numerous complaints about the EVO (that is why my phone is discontinued) and you are just another number, not a customer. Save yourself a headache and go to a different carrier.

Left to Verizon wireless.

Posted on: December 15th, 2011 by Anonymous

I have been a loyal customer with Sprint for close to 8 years.I payed my ETF just to go to Verizon wireless. My number 1 complaint is that their 3G network speeds are beyond horrible and get worse each month. Last year when I bought the Htc Evo 4g, the network was great on 3G. I started seeing a drop in speeds about few months later and got worse each month. I was lucky to get 200kbps on a good day. I get a lot of the readings as low as 10kbps-100kbps! This was a major problem for me, because I mainly use my smartphone for internet purposes. When contacting their horrible customer service agents and unknowledgeable tech support, you are better off googling your problems and trying to fix the issues on your own. Sprint seems to think that hard resetting your phone is the fix to any type of issue, which most time doesn't fix the issue. Then they make you go to a Sprint repair just for them to hard reset your phone in person once again. Sprint customer service & tech support need training in their customer service skills, phone etiquette, and knowledge in their area. Most the time I spent on the phone with Sprint, most times I was on the phone for hours, hung up on, given attitudes, put on hold for hour or hours at a time, or constantly transferred from department from department. Loyalty means nothing to Sprint and they make promises they can't keep. I was told that 4g would be available in my area within a year, it has been way over a year and I have yet to see 4G. Now they are going from Wimax to LTE? Sprint took away the premier, yearly upgrades, and on to yearly discounts. Yes, Sprint may have better plans than the competitors, but when having to pay $100 a month for crappy network & crappy customer service, you think long and hard about the competitor. I may be paying more now, but am quite satisfied with the 3G network speed with Verizon always being about 1200kbps-1600kbps AND also having 4g in my area. Not to forget, that every time I deal with Verizon customer service, I am treated like a valued customer. I am glad I left Sprint and moved on to Verizon.

Sprint Lies they are really not unlimited

Posted on: December 12th, 2011 by Anonymous

I've been with sprint for over 7yrs. After I was talked into this scam of an internet card with unlimited 4g. I get a $600 bill after a couple months without any notice. I'm informed, when I call to question the bill, there is no longer unlimited coverage. Sprint you suck!

Sprint Changes Contracts After Signed

Posted on: December 12th, 2011 by Anonymous

Sprint got us to sign up for the 3G/4G hotspot under the belief that it would be unlimited internet. Well that was the case in month #1 and then changed due to unexpected use, by all customers. My original bill was $30/month, instead it cam out to $836 before they sent me a notification stating the overage.

Poor customer service and phone service

Posted on: December 9th, 2011 by Anonymous

Been with Sprint since 2004 and just added a line back in September. Gone through 4 different phone in 2 months and all phones were have service issues. Nothing wrong with the phones. Sprint messed up when porting the number from another carrier. They wanted $350 to cancel service after all of my issues and it took me to contact my lawyer before Sprint decided to drop the $350 charge. Never had an issue with Sprint til now. Also when contacting customer service get everyone name you talk to and have them e-mail you a conformation.

Leaving Sprint After 6 Years

Posted on: November 21st, 2011 by Anonymous

They don't know how to take care of existing customers. They changed their upgrade policies when they figured out they would have the Iphone. Now instead of getting a new phone in Feb, I'll have to wait until next December. No Thanks. Bye Sprint

Not keeping up with competition

Posted on: October 20th, 2010 by K W

The good: Good coverageGood priceThe bad: Poor phonesPoor customer serviceSummary: The coverage is good. But, the phones don't keep up with competition. They used to have the best customer service in the industry in my opinion, but this has changed with new guidelines. It's useless to call them because they don't know the phones and can't resolve any issues. It took two weeks to get a replacement charger for a brand new phone! You can get much better phones and service from competition! I'm seeing more people move to Verizon where they care about customers and offer better phones. I'm checking into that.

Posted on: October 6th, 2010 by Dawn G

The good: customer service is nice and they try to help. The plans are good. The bad: Drop calls!!! Bad coverage!!! I have no service at home and there is nothing they can do!!!Summary: They say your area is covered and when it's not they will not let you brake your contract. I guess it only matters if they are happy not you.

Stay away from Sprint

Posted on: July 16th, 2010 by Tony Wilhite

The good: Good PlansThe bad: Pricey PhonesTerrible Customer ServiceNo Good Phone UpgradesSummary: When I chose my first cell phone I went with Nextel due to the Direct Connect function. Everyone at work was using this, so I went with it also. As soon as Sprint bought Nextel everything changed. Customer service was terrible and on weekends forget about talking with anyone who spoke English. If you need to replace aphone, you had to pay dead red retail and upgrades only had a few cheap, no function phones particularly if you wanted one with Direct Connet function. I checked my account online and was given a date in June of this year as the date the contract would expire. I switched to Verizon and then got a call from Sprint telling me I owed an early termination fee. I tried to check my account details online and they locked the account. Sprint will not work with you on any problem you have.
