Sprint does NOT honor their offers

Posted on: May 1st, 2013 by Donna Delello Wollman

In 2007 I was given a 2 year discount as a perk to renew my Sprint contract. For the next 14 or so months I had to call and argue to have the discount applied to my account. Finally in 2009 I spoke to a supervisor who offered me a lesser discount, but stated it would be applied for as long as I had a Sprint account. The terms of this new discount are in writing at Sprint on my account. Now after 4 years, the discount has been removed and I have been told that it is not a proper discount and it was removed from my account without notice. When I called, it took over 3 hours on the telephone, I asked for Sprint to either honor the agreement or release me from my contract. They refused.............Sprint finally agreed to honor the discount until the end of the year when my contract runs out. The bottom line is........this discount was the reason I stayed with Sprint. It was given to me because one of their people lied to me and greatly inconvenienced me for a long period of time. The terms of the discount were documented in my account in 2009 Now I find that again Sprint does not keep their agreements and is not good to their word. As Sprint will not let me out of my contract, and I cannot afford to pay off my contract, I will be looking for another company at the end of the year that is honest and trustworthy. I believe that you are only as good as your word ........Lying to customers is not good practice and I personally do not want to do business with any company I cannot trust.

Awful customer service and worse network services

Posted on: April 26th, 2013 by Anonymous

I am kicking myself in the arse every day because I chose Sprint. I can't really find any good in it. It seems like every where I go, I am getting horrendous internet speeds. I have been complaining but no one at Sprint will do anything. They did issue me a credit, but my services are still not working correctly. It's just able unusable, while Verizon, At&t, and T-Mobile are cruising along at 4G speeds. I really regret leaving T-Mobile. With Sprint, my voice calls break up as well. I am so frustrated with the service!!!!! If you are thinking about signing up for Sprint, DON'T! I REGRET EVERY SECOND and my experience has been so bad I would never recommend Sprint to anyone after seeing the way they handle things.. Also, I had went to a Sprint repair store for my Galaxy S3. It took 15 minutes for me and another lady to get acknowledged. We were basically ignored, and didn't know what to do. Just kind of sitting there looking at each other. Plus when I called to complain about my service, I kept getting transferred around and the last guy had an attitude and basically called me a liar. He said a manger would call me back. They never did!!! I also chatted them on a different occasion regarding my data and calling issues (not just at home, but when I am traveling as well). Someone from the executive customer service responded to me via email a couple of days later. I explained my issues and they stopped responding!!!!!!!! My contract can not end soon enough. I didn't think I would have these problems because I live 20 minutes away from a major city. But I was very, very wrong. I don't even want to pay my bill anymore.

Sprint, just like the other 3

Posted on: April 24th, 2013 by Anonymous

I have used Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile over the past 12 years. Look at all the complaints for the 4 companies on this website. All 4 lack great customer service, They all have service problems at one point or another, they are all after more and more money and if we switch, well, they get more money. If people are getting great service, they love their company. All 4 companies have those people. If people are not getting great service, they hate their company. All 4 companies have those people as well. What we have failed to learn is that we created these monsters because we want more and more, faster and faster, now, now, now. These companies don't care because as soon as you drop service and switch, someone is switching back to one of the other 3. It is a cycle and they are all in it together. Think about it. If you owned one of these companies, wouldn't you fix the billing issues, the customer care issues, the phone issues, give discounts to your loyal customers etc.etc. These companies just don't care because if they don't get the money from me or you they will get it from someone else. It is estimated there are almost 300 million devices with contracts with these 4 companies at an average of $80 per line. That is over $24 BILLION per month collectively. THAT'S WHY THEY DON'T CARE, PERIOD. If each customer kept their current provider but found a way to reduce services by about $20 per month per device, it would take from their pockets approximately 6 BILLION $$ per month collectively. Think that would open their eyes and make them change. We should try it.

WORST DATA SERVICE PERIOD!!!

Posted on: April 23rd, 2013 by Michael Linkenbach

Sprint provides the worst data service in Central Florida including Polk County, Highlands County, and even ORLANDO!! My job requires me to reply to Internet leads when I am at work or away from work (part of my job performance is measured by the time it takes for me to reply to incoming leads). So, I need to have data service with my iPhone that I can count on. Sprint CANNOT deliver! I've been at SeaWorld and could not use my phone because of the very SLOW service. My son has the same phone and the same issues. A co-worker also has the same phone and has the same issues! My wife has the same model iPhone with Verizon and when we are out to dinner I have to use her phone to do my job!! I've talked to three Sprint stores and the Apple store in Orlando and they ALL say it's Sprint's towers! Sprint's answer: BE SOMEPLACE WHERE YOU CAN USE Wi-Fi!! What a great solution!! I supposed that Sprint tells it's employees to be sure to park their cars near an air pump because of the air leak in their tires! WHAT AN ANSWER SPRINT!!! The gal I spoke kept saying she understood my concerns and she started laughing about how it would upset her too!! HELLO????? Thanks for caring enough to do NOTHING!! And to add insult to injury, they offered me a $30 credit for the last two months!!!! What is that?????? If you want to use your phone to handle data and you live in Central Florida, DO NOT USE SPRINT!!!!!! It's not worth it. After over 10 years with Sprint, this is the best they can offer me!?!?!?!?!?!

Sprint has lost a 10 year customer

Posted on: April 16th, 2013 by Anonymous

I have recommended several people to Sprint over the years. I know of five for sure, three on my family plan, that left other companies due to my reviews. Sprint has tried to scam me with $3 here, $2 there for the last several months. It adds up; think of how many people don't pay attention and how many millions of dollars they are scamming from people. Every time I take an issue to a Sprint Store, which was rare before this year, the national customer service line was called and the local agent and the overseas agent took care of it. I decided to cut out the middle man today and was told after 2 hours on the phone, 1 hour wait times, four phone calls, and 1 disconnect, to go to the store with my issue. I had a death in the family, while grieving I had to fax the death certificate three times to Sprint, and use a lunch break to go to a Sprint store to have them fax the certificate. 6 weeks after I first notified Sprint about the deceased the issue still was not taken care of and my family still had a line with Sprint, even though he is in the ground. The managers were rude, did not care about my years of service and did not assist me fully. I could not be more disappointed. Sprint service has also diminished this year; I have experienced several dropped calls in Austin since 2013. I will be leaving them and no longer recommend anyone to them.

Sprint treats Loyal Existing Customers poorly compared to New Customers.

Posted on: April 13th, 2013 by Chrissy Dannenberg Sommer

Sprint treats Loyal Existing Customers poorly compared to New Customers. I am in the process of looking at renewing our service with Sprint. We are also eligible to upgrade our phones however after looking at upgrading our phones I discovered that Sprint offers its NEW customers special pricing for phones but does not offer its existing loyal customers the SAME pricing on phones. I asked them to Match the price since I would hope they would treat loyal customers with at least the same level of respect. Said said they will not match their new customer price for phones for my renewal upgrades and basically told me to live with it or leave. So buyer beware. If you switch to their better pricing and want to renew and upgrade phones later, plan on paying more as a loyal customer than if you were a new customer. Being loyal apparently does have it price. I know it sounds like I am whining but apparently Sprint values new customers more than existing customers. BUT if you are a new customer to them you get special rates, special deals. And when it comes time to renewing or upgrading your phones they won't match the new customer prices. They said my rate which is discounted does not have a retention department so right now Sprint is holding strong with their take it or leave us attitude. One thing they said is if I leave that I cannot get the special rate for my service anymore. So I logged on and checked and YES someone CAN get the same special monthly rate I am paying, plus the phones will be at the lower new customer rate, plus no activation charges. The catch is they have to be a new Customer and if I leave, Sprint knows I can't sign up again as a new customer. This is where they get you in a corner and know they can have the take it or leave it attitude. Let me give you an example: As of this morning the pricing for the phones we want to upgrade to (NOTE I have 5 phones on my family plan) are: Samsung Galaxy S3 16GB - $0 (for new customer or someone signing up new for the plan I am on), $99 my renewal upgrade price. LG Mach - $0 (for new customer or someone signing up new for the plan I am on), $49 my renewal upgrade price. Iphone 4S preowned - 32GB - $49 (for new customer or someone signing up new for the plan I am on), $149 my renewal upgrade price. So much for customer loyalty and being a good customer. They give benefits and perks to New Customers but not to customers who pay on time, want to be loyal, and want to renew and upgrade. I just want to make you aware of this should you be considering to switch to Sprint. They will wine and dine you to get you but will not have the same respect for you when it comes time to renew or upgrade.

Don't go to Sprint

Posted on: April 13th, 2013 by Ann Jastrzembowski

I ported my number over from Verizon two days ago and immediately had poor reception. I could make calls and make and receive texts, but couldn't get incoming calls. I went back to the sprint store and they gave me another phone and a airrave device, which they assured me would solve my problem. It didn't - I still couldn't receive calls. I ported my phone back over to verizon and took everything back to sprint. Thank goodness they didn't hold me to my contract (it had only been two days, afterall), but they did charge me a $70 restocking fee. I read all the reviews about sprint and thought I'd give them a chance since they were cheaper than verizon and other carriers out there. I learned an expensive lesson. Do not go with sprint! It's not worth the headache.
