AMAZING

Posted on: March 23rd, 2009 by James Michael

The good: Unlimited everything, Cheap, Decent amount of phone selectionThe bad: Bad costumer service, not good coverageSummary: Cricket is an amazing choice if you don't travel much. I rarely ever travel out of my area so i don't need to pay 400 extra dollars for a popular phone company. Costumer service is bad because no one speaks english and they'll do more harm then good if you call with a problem or are trying to add roaming minutes. i just go into a store to do things like that. but i love cricket, no hidden fees, my bill is the exact same every single month! i love it! i've been a costumer for 3 years and have never had a dropped call(have had a few just because i left service or hit a bad spot but never randomly just dropped a call) and all my texts get there and i receive all my messages. i'm thinking about switching to boost just because their not much more expensive and you get regular service...

NO SMS From Internet

Posted on: March 16th, 2009 by J M

The good: inexpensive, uses Verizon Network, nice phonesThe bad: Has blocked messages from the internet from Cherple, Skype, etc. Really bad customer service, not knowledgeable and boardering on nasty.Summary: Cricket, hip, cool, non-functional. What can I say, they want to appeal to the young demographic but do not provide basic functionality. So you think you are getting unlimited SMS, but it is very limited.

Coverage map shows wrong info - but I still can't get my money back

Posted on: March 9th, 2009 by Joe Jacoba

The good: Low costThe bad: Unreliable coverage maps -No customer service with actual decision authority to refund the $25 activation fee.Summary: Don't use a company that can't stand behind their product by refunding customers that want to try them out! You might get what you pay for.Their coverage map showed our home in the middle of an excellent reception zone. That's what I used as my criterion for trying them. In reality we have zero bars. I had a hard time finding anyone who could talk about refunding any money. The store referred to Cricket themselves while Cricket referred me back to the store. Eventually I found someone on the phone who took the complaint but I didn't hear anything from them. When I called back, they told me it was denied.

Get what you pay for...

Posted on: February 22nd, 2009 by Anonymous

The good: great pricenice phonesgood serviceunlimited calling/textgood in store customer serviceThe bad: need less foreign customer service, there hard to understand.insurance not so greatSummary: Cricket is great for people on a budget. It is the best unlimited phone service out there, especially compared to some (Boost Mobile). Love there service and willingness to try to solve your problems. Easily contactable and low monthly bills. You don't have to keep track of minutes, and phone service is pretty good almost anywhere. Phones are a little pricey but you get what you pay for, so the phones are very durable. My 15 yr. old has dropped hers a thousand times and even after 2 years it is still ticking. Great service and Great phones, i would deffinately suggest this service to anyone.

How did their customer service rate get even a 2.9??

Posted on: February 19th, 2009 by Kathleen Johns

The good: Less expensive and you get what you pay for.The bad: A-ZSummary: Switched from another carrier for the unlimited text for my daughter's birthday. She's a good girl and deserved it. I, however, did not deserve the general pain I must endure for even a scrap of customer service. Try to get a person on the phone with any number listed. Push buttons or don't push buttons you still end up with a automated maze that ends up with an "Aaaauuuugh" and slamming the phone down. I don't WANT to pay extra to pay in cash, check or credit card. Shouldn't HAVE to PAY EXTRA TO PAY THE BILL!! That's all they are interested in: To pay your bill...to buy a phone...to add a line....to select your plan.... Just don't expect anything else. Their phone will be in the Mississippi River by this afternoon. It is worth the extra every month to get an actual person on the phone with a NATIONWIDE COMPANY. Completely uncalled for, inappropriate, and unprofessional. If I could think of anything worse, I'd put it.

HUGE MISTAKE!

Posted on: January 12th, 2009 by Laurie Jackson

The good: Easy to establish service/purchase phone onlineThe bad: Everything else.... LOUSY customer service, CONSTANT BILLING ERRORS, dropped calls, limited calling areas...Summary: Kept Cricket for 1 year despite the fact that I wasted at least 1 hour monthly on phone with customer service. I would get two text bills monthly for varying amounts yet the CSRs who answered my calls could not explain. I'd get texts informming me that my service would be interrupted if I didn't pay my bill yet they'd tell me my account was in good standing when I'd call to follow up. Not only were the CSRs rude, they barely spoke English and you could NEVER get a supervisor. I finally cancelled the service mid-December and went with another carrier.... of course, CRICKET charged my credit card almost $80 on 1/9/09 after my account was closed for nearly a month... oh yeah, and my plan was $35 monthly. Just filed a complaint with BBB in hopes of recovering my cash. They're THIEVES... look elsewhere and save yourself the headaches!

RUN AWAY!!! DON'T WALK!!!!

Posted on: January 1st, 2009 by Anonymous

The good: Unlimited calling. The bad: Everything else.Summary: I have never had such exasperating, nay, infuriating service (or lack thereof) in my life! I am heading back to Verizon. I don't think that I was ever able to talk to a service person that didn't possess English as a second, or maybe fifth, language. If the communication barriers weren?t bad enough, the fact that they couldn't do anything right or quote anything accurately was mind-numbing. Never before have I wanted to throw my phone out of the window, at least not until I experienced Cricket?s customer service (which, in Cricket?s case, is an oxymoron).Oh, and then there are the obnoxious text message advertisements sent to you at all hours of the day or night courtesy of those jerks at Cricket. Jesus!!!!! Oh, and if you find yourself traveling anywhere outside of your home area, forget it! Welcome to the dark ages of cellular, folks! Please, if you value your sanity, run away. Don't walk or amble. Run Away from Cricket!
