They need alittle more work

Posted on: October 4th, 2006 by Anonymous

The good: I can use the phone 24/7 for local, long distance, text and email messaging, sending photos, taking pictures. Pay one flat fee for everything. No long term contract. The bad: Internet doesn't work that great. I keep getting booted if I go to my internet home page or I can't get into the other service. Can't text numbers to contests on Tv, can't get ringtones from other online services. Have to pay roaming fees if you leave your area. No really cool ringtones and they need to increase the volumn on some of them. Summary: I would recommended this service to everyone. If you have friends or family who live in other states or instate but their long distance. I wish that since their in other city's here and also other states that they would drop the roaming charges and would also allow ringtones from other websites. But I use my phone 24/7 for local and long distance and with other services you can't do this unless you but pre-paid. They you would spend more a month buying the top-up cards.

Posted on: October 4th, 2006 by Anonymous

The good: No Credit card needed, cheaper than most carriersThe bad: have to pay fees for paper, paying youe bill, and you have to spend more when you travelSummary: it's good for the money, frendly service. But you have to wait long in line to pay a bill or to have your phone fix. have to pay fee for paying the bill in person or on the phone.

Cricket... Better over the years

Posted on: August 26th, 2006 by Lisa Bennington

The good: You pay the same amount every month, with your minutes and messaging unlimited. The bad: If you want to travel you have to purchase minutes to take your phone outside the coverage area.Summary: I have had service off and on over the years with Cricket. I like it because there is no contract, so you dont have to worry about any early termination fees if you dont want the service anymore. They also DONT do a credit check, so its perfect for those who have poor/no credit. The ONLY drawback is if you want to travel, you have to buy minutes to use the phone outside the coverage area, which is Lincoln and Omaha (45 miles Northeast of Lincoln). Customer service could use a little improvement though.

love it!

The good: Cricket is great, you dont count your minutes or text messages and it is a low pice for you bill. The bad: price to initially get your phoneSummary: I think Cricket is a great carrier. I have had problems with going over my bill in the past with other companies, but Cricket offers great plans to avoid this problem. I am glad that it is no hassle and I can always count on my bill being the same every month. I really love the service and plans and adding money to my flex bucket to get roaming or out of country calling or text messages. I just do not like one thing about them and that is the fact that the phones are so expensive to initially get started.

Cricket

Posted on: August 17th, 2006 by cheryl remache

The good: unlimited calls to anywhere long distance or local. they have local payment center's near you. Easy to use. The bad: Can only use in your calling area. Dropped calls, only from what I heard. Sometimes doesn't have great connection. Phone's can be expensive to buy. Summary: I actually really like my phone with Cricket. We are able to call our family in other state's. We can talk as long as we like. We have not had any problems with our phone. Sometimes the clarity isn't great. But my mother has more dropped calls than I and she is with another service. We would like to have a plan like this and be able to travel to other states. Like in a few weeks we will be traveling to Houston and we won't be able to bring our phone to use for emergencies. Otherwise it is a great phone!!!

Cricket is not worth it

Posted on: November 22nd, 2005 by Anonymous

The good: It's cheap and doesn't require using a plan. Great for teenagers who like to talk alot on the phone. The bad: Text messaging is limited to who you can text message or receive a text message from. Receiving calls from outside of the continental 48 states doesn't exist so that is useless if you have friends in other countries. You can't ever find what you need from their website along with plans. With other companies you can use their website to send text messages to anyone in the world. With Cricket you can only use it for local service in your state from what I have experienced. Reception is horribSummary: All in all I don't feel that cricket is worth having. I have had to purchase another phone to text message outside of the country to others and to receive phone calls from other countries. I have family in Canada and they can never get through to me on my cricket phone. I would only recommend to anyone considering buying a cricket phone that if you can't afford to go for a plan and for people with kids who like to talk alot. Other than that I would never recommend anyone using them. The reception is the worst I have ever endured. I will be going with another plan within the next month.
