Not happy

Posted on: August 4th, 2008 by anthony spadaccini

The good: Really nottingThe bad: Bad service. The customer support is a joke- NO-ONE has any idea what they are talking about. Plan prices are terribleSummary: I first went over when they were just cingular, everything was good, service was so much better, people that worked there had sense, everything was simple..Now, AT&T is an abosulute JOKE. The phones are average priced but the plans are so overpriced! An everything plan for sprint-99.99 $An everything plan for ATT- over 130$ thats just sad, and the customer support at the website is even worse, first you wait for 30 minutes, then when you get to someone there like retarted, i had a question on phone insurance i asked five people, everyone one managed to give me a different answer.

Worst Retail Service Ever....Anywhere

Posted on: July 2nd, 2008 by Paul Robnett

The good: I signed on with Cingular in Fall of '04 and my cellular service has been fine. No complaints. The bad: Minor issues with phone but taken care of (by Cingular).Summary: 3.5 years later, it's time to retire my poor old phone. I mistakenly made an assumption that my best bet was to go to an AT&T retail store. Bad idea. I'm on a family plan which my brother started. So, I'm not an "authorized user". Ok, no problem, I don't want to change the contract or even buy anything. All I want is info on phones. Simple enough right? Wrong! They treat me as if I am some kind of criminal or a leper. When I go to shop for (but not yet buy) a phone, they REFUSE to wait on me. What retailer has a policy to REFUSE SERVICE to a paying customer who wants to LOOK AT buying more products and services? AT&T that's who.The WORST service (or lack thereof) I've ever experienced. In fact, I'm going to suggest that it's not service at all, just ARROGANCE.As soon as I can escape from their evil clutches, I will. And I shall never return.

Cell One is now AT&T

Posted on: June 23rd, 2008 by Angel Cathe

The good: Online account management is good. The bad: CoverageSummary: Since Cell One was bought by AT&T, the amount of bars on my phone has gone down. About 60% of the calls I make will not go through because "Network is not available". This is very frustrating. I hardly ever had this problem before (I've been a Cell One customer for over two years).

Wouldn't recommend

Posted on: June 2nd, 2008 by Anonymous

The good: One of the best for pricing, but you're essentially paying for crappy service! The bad: Poor customer service, MOST dropped calls! Summary: I have been a Cingular customer for over 10 years. Their customer service has NEVER been able to help me with any issues. Now since they've merged with AT&T and supposedly have the fewest dropped calls (what a joke!), I can hardly get reception. In my house, there are a few specific locations I need to stand still in order to make or receive a call without losing it. When we visit family, I cannot ever count on having a signal. My contract with them is up and I am finally shopping for a better provider - TONIGHT!!

AT&T

Posted on: May 6th, 2008 by Jan Mayer

The good: Great coverage, good deals on phones, great customer service and online help The bad: sometimes expensive, some plans could use improvementSummary: AT&T is the probably greatest wireless provider out there. I switched from T-mobile to Cingular about three years ago and have not had any problems with it so far. In some areas out in the country the signal is lost at certain places but that's the same with all carriers. Now that AT&T and Cingular have merged there is even more to expect from the company in the future. This company just keeps growing and now provides television and internet services as well. And good deals are available for joint plans.

Many problems over the years

Posted on: May 5th, 2008 by C Ballard

We started out with AT&T before they were Cingular and didn't have any problems. Cingular took over and we still didn't have any problems until we had to complete the merge and the customer service was really poor. We have had issues ever since. Our coverage doesn't seem to be good in some places we are always having drop calls where we use to not. We had to extend our contact to add a line for our daughter and when it is up we are going to another carrier.

AT&T/ Cingular is great!

Posted on: April 29th, 2008 by Joanna Poli

The good: International Capability, Reception, no unexpected extended contracts! The bad: Not all areas had the fast 3G coverageSummary: Ive had at&t when they first started off with Cingular, Ive never had a problem with customer service helping me out. They gave great deals on phones and always try to do their best to help me out with something im not understanding or with new cellphones coming out. What ive come to find though is that authorized dealers are alittl bit too snobby and at corporate stores they know much more and helped me out alot faster and more efficiently! at&t will ALWAYS be my carrier!

I want out

Posted on: April 25th, 2008 by Deanne s

I started out with Cingular didnt have any complaints with them was a good service all around. After switching to AT&T the customers service is very poor. We bought another house no signials in that area. AT&T told us that was too bad we are in a contract and there is nothing they will do for us. We still have another year left that we cant use. They said we would have to get shipped over seas or die. Also got a notice they are raise our text messaging rates when I called them about that they gave me a very hard time about that. They are breaking my contract but won't admit to it. I don't have anything good to say about AT&T I am disconnecting my internet and home phone from them.

I don't recommend ATT!

Posted on: March 26th, 2008 by Anonymous

The good: noneThe bad: poor customer service.Summary: My RAZR quit working the day before I was leaving on a trip out of state. I carried phone to ATT Service Center where it was checked out. I was told the (new) battery I bought from them a week earlier was not making connection. Since the phone was out of warranty by 6 months, I was told I wasn't due for an upgrade until July, and the only thing I could do was purchase another phone at a cost of $349.00. I asked them if they had a "loaner" phone I could use on my trip and I would buy a new phone when I returned. They emphatically said NO! That's my reward for being a loyal customer of 7 years? When my contract expires in July, I will reward them by choosing another carrier!

Great Company, Great Customer Service

Posted on: March 20th, 2008 by Angela M

The good: Good customer service, willing to work with you and go out of their way to help, even throw in some extras to keep you happy. Phone gets great reception and very few dropped calls. I get a free phone every two years, my Motorola Razr was free. The bad: None. Summary: I love everything about AT&T, I have no complains at all. I have been with AT&T since before they became Cingular and now they are back to being AT&T again and customer service has always been GREAT -- they always answered my questions patiently and politely, resolved every problem (although my problems have been very few and far between). The phones are great, the reception is better than my friends who have Verizon and Sprint. I rarely get a dropped call, and I commute from New Jersey to New York every day, no problem with reception in the tunnel or anywhere else in the city. Even on my vacation in the Catskills where everyone else had no reception whatsoever (yes and that includes Verizon), I had no problems at all, in fact I was the only one using my cell phone. Needless to say, I will stay with AT&T for a very long time, and I even got my friends to switch. So far, none of them have any complaints either!
