Cingular and Coverage

Posted on: October 4th, 2006 by Raheel Momin

The good: Rollover minutes, great reception in most places, phones availible are full of features. The bad: Overall, reception is good; however, the places where there IS bad reception, it's REALLY bad.Summary: I've been with Cingular Wireless for nearly two years now. Overall, I would have to say I'm satisfied. Rollover minutes are definately a MUST, and Cingular Wireless is currently the only wireless provider to offer rollover minutes. However, I do have some gripes. The phone I bought, a Motorola V551, had a bad screen after I took it home the day of purchase. I called Cingular, and they had me send in the old one and they sent me a "new" one. Keyword being "new"...sure, it works, but i'm 99.999% sure it's a refurbished phone. This is very disappointing, I didn't pay $150.00 to get a refurbished phone.Overall, Cingular Wireless is great. However, when it comes to support, it falls a bit short (but then again...who doesnt?)

Who needs that other network?

Posted on: October 4th, 2006 by Barb Taylor

The good: Can't think of any.The bad: Excellent service.Summary: I can even pay my bill on line. Customer service is friendly, informed, and helpful. I've had some cool offers for other providers, but I'm sticking with Cingular. I just hope when it goes back to AT&T the quality doesn't change, and customer service remains friendly, informed, and helpful.

Best cellular service around Maine.

Posted on: October 4th, 2006 by Kerri McCafferty

The good: Way better cell coverage, less dropped calls, better reception in places where I only got 1 bar before, family plan, decent phones, good customer service, online access of bills and account settings. The bad: A little pricey, too much for texting, better plans on other carriers.Summary: Although Cingular might be a little more pricey than the other carriers my husband and I agreed to stay with them anyway. We have had far better service both through the use of our cells and with any problems we've had. My one complaint is the price of texting and data. I'd like to see more competitive package prices in the future.

Content with my carrier

Posted on: October 4th, 2006 by bambi staggs

The good: They do not bug me at all. I do not receive solicited text messages.Reasonalble plan. The bad: Text messaging charges.Summary: I guess i would say i am somewhat content with my wireless carrier. I have been with them for 7 years now. Never had any problems with upgrading my phones and and no hidden costs for upgrading my phones. I only have one complaint though. The TEXT messaging charges. I think text messages should be included with my plan. I have talked to others who carry a different wireless service and seems most have text messaging included with their plan. So i am told. Would be nice if i had it included. I get people texting me alot and i get charged for it because my friends assume i already have it included in my plan. Cant really tell them to NOT text me. Sounds somewhat rude i think.

Cingular is reliable and never lets you down

Posted on: September 30th, 2006 by Matthew Walsleben

The good: Great Coverage, great quality, easy to use voice mail and the free roaming is wonderful. The bad: NoneSummary: I have used other carriers and none compares to Cingular. The coverage is first rate and their willingness to allow for you to roam onto competing networks when need be makes coverage even better. Their roll over is a genius addition.
