Following a rumor that claimed that the OnePlus Z could be officially announced in July, some more concrete launch info may have leaked out.
The OnePlus Z will reportedly be revealed on July 10 during an event in India. That's according to a report from Android Central, which cautions that that date could change due to the events happening in the world.
Possible pricing for the OnePlus Z has leaked out as well. Some users in the DesiDime forums (via XDA-Developers) show that they got a survey asking if they'd buy a OnePlus phone with certain specs. The specs line up with what we've heard could be included with the OnePlus Z, and the price for it given in the survey is ₹24,990, or around $331.
The survey was shared by PayBack, a customer rewards program in India.
The OnePlus Z's rumored spec list includes a 6.55-inch Super AMOLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate and in-display fingerprint sensor. It's said that there will be a triple rear camera array with 64MP, 16MP, and 2MP sensors, plus a 16MP selfie camera inside a hole-punch at the top of the screen.
Inside, the OnePlus Z will reportedly feature a Snapdragon 765 processor with 5G support as well as 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. A 4300mAh battery with 30W fast charging support is also rumored to be included.
While the rumored ₹24,990/$331 price tag may not be exactly what the OnePlus Z will cost in markets outside India, it is expected that the OnePlus Z will be more aggressively priced compared to the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. With the OnePlus 8 starting at $699, a OnePlus Z with 5G support in the $350 price range could be appealing to a lot of people.
