After launching its first smartphone in the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G earlier this year, OnePlus has now confirmed that it's got another 5G phone in the works for this year.
OnePlus CEO Pete Lau says that his company is aiming to launch another 5G smartphone in the fourth quarter of 2019. Lau confirmed the his company's plans in an interview with the Financial Times (via TechRadar), but unfortunately he didn't divulge any other details about the device.
For the past few years, OnePlus has launched a new flagship in the first half of the year and then followed up with a slightly improved "T" version of that flagship in the fall. We got the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro back in May, and so it's possible that Lau is teasing a OnePlus 7T or OnePlus 7T Pro (or both) for release this fall.
Sprint recently confirmed that it will launch a 5G smartphone from OnePlus later this year. Some thought that this could just be another version of the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G that launched on U.K. carrier EE earlier this year, but today's news suggests that Sprint could be getting a new device.
