Nearly one year after OnePlus confirmed its plans to launch a smart TV, the company has revealed a couple more details about the upcoming device.
The OnePlus smart TV will officially be known as "OnePlus TV". OnePlus says of the upcoming smart TV that "there's no other name that can best represent our value, vision and pride than naming it with our own brand."
Also revealed today is the logo for OnePlus TV, which the company explains was "inspired by classic geometric progression" used in things like the ancient Hindu symbol and the famous ancient Greek temple Heraion of Argos. OnePlus used the same thickness for the logos and letters to give a sense of "symmetry" and "unity".
Unfortunately, no details about the OnePlus TV hardware were shared today, but OnePlus does say that there's more new "coming soon."
We heard last year that OnePlus's television will be a smart 4K LED TV, and the company teased that it's working with an OS partner so that the TV will fit into existing ecosystems. Just last week, several OnePlus products with the name "1+ LED TV" were spotted in the Bluetooth SIG database, and the filings suggested that OnePlus's TV may come in 43-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch sizes.
