It's official: The OnePlus TV is coming next month.
OnePlus confirmed today that its smart TV will launch in September. It'll be available in India first, but OnePlus CEO Pete Lau promises that the OnePlus TV will come to North America, Europe, and China as soon as OnePlus can establish relationships with local and regional content providers.
"I am confident that there are many things that you can expect from the OnePlus TV. Image and sound quality are fundamental features that we must get right," Lau said of OnePlus's smart TV. "Alongside these key essentials, I believe the TV’s remarkable design and smart interconnectivity make this product even more exciting."
Lau went on to tease a bit more about the OnePlus TV's interconnectivity, saying that he believes that the television will become the "center of our smart home" and the "center of our daily smart social hub." He added that the OnePlus TV is "an important step towards OnePlus being involved in the world of IoT and interconnectivity."
We don't yet know how much the OnePlus TV will cost or any of its specs. However, some filings in the Bluetooth SIG database were recently spotted that suggest the OnePlus TV will be available in 43-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, and 75-inch sizes.
