HTC's current Android flagship is finally getting its Pie update.
The HTC U12+ has begun receiving its update to Android 9.0 Pie. The update is now rolling out in Taiwan, and while there's no word on when it might start showing up in other regions, hopefully we'll see a wider rollout soon now that the update has begun rolling out somewhere.
The update is version 2.45.709.1 and comes in at 1.06GB. Along with a bump to Android 9.0, it brings some unspecified "system enhancements" and the removal of Google+ from HTC's BlinkFeed since Google+ was recently shut down.

So far there haven't been any reports of major bugs with this update like the one with the HTC U11 that prevented some users from unlocking their phone after updating to Pie. One HTC U12+ owner reports that a bug isn't allowing them to edit the APN for the internet app but allows editing of MMS, and while that is still an issue, it's not quite as serious as the U11's bug.
