Almost exactly one year after getting is previous price hike, PlayStation Vue is getting more expensive again.
Sony announced today that it's growing the price of all four of its PlayStation Vue plans by $5 each. Here's what the new plan pricing looks like:
The new prices take effect today for new customers. Existing PlayStation Vue customers will see their new price beginning on their first billing cycle on or after July 31st.
As for why PlayStation Vue is getting another price hike, Sony points to the rising costs of content. "With costs rising each year for content, we constantly evaluate each deal to ensure we continue to deliver the content you want while considering the overall value of each package," the company explained.
PlayStation Vue isn't the only streaming TV service that's gotten a price increase lately, as Google recently hiked up the monthly price of YouTube TV. That's probably not exactly comforting to PS Vue customers who are frustrated by this price increase, but at least they know they're not the only ones with a streaming service that's getting pricier.
