After making its official debut back in February, the high-end HP Elite x3 is finally about to launch.
HP has revealed that the Elite x3 will launch in the U.S. in late July for $699. It’ll also offer a bundle that’ll include the Elite x3, premium headset, and desk dock for the Elite X3 on August 29 at a price of $799. Finally, HP plans to launch an even bigger bundle that includes everything a premium headset, Desk Dock, and Lap Dock for the x3, but there’s no launch date for that package yet.
The HP Elite x3 is a high-end Windows 10 Mobile smartphone that packs a 5.96-inch 2560x1440 AMOLED display, quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, 16-megapixel rear and 8-megapixel front cameras, and a 4150mAh battery. Also included is 64GB of built-in storage, but if that’s not enough, you’ll be able to add up to 2TB of additional storage with a microSD slot. HP is also building several security features into the Elite x3, like an iris scanner on its face and a fingerprint reader on its back (which is missing from the official renders that were previously provided).
We don’t see many new Windows 10 Mobile smartphones anymore, especially from companies not named Microsoft, but the HP Elite x3 looks like one heck of a Windows phone. The device is primarily aimed at business users, but for any Windows 10 Mobile diehards out there, the Elite x3 is worth a look thanks to its super high-end feature set.
