Windows 10 Mobile fans may have to wait a few more weeks to buy HP’s souped-up Elite x3, but if you dig Windows and want a new phone right now, you might want to look Acer’s way.
The Acer Liquid Jade Primo is now available from the Microsoft Store. Pricing is set at $649, and with that you get the phone as well as a dock, keyboard, and mouse so that you’ll be ready to use Continuum right away. With Continuum, you can hook your phone up to a display, keyboard, and mouse and use it like a full-fledged PC.
If you need a refresher on what makes the Liquid Jade Primo tick — and you might, considering that it was announced back in January — I’m happy to oblige. This Windows 10 Mobile smartphone boasts a 5.5-inch 1920x1080 AMOLED display and 8-megapixel camera on its face, and around back there’s a 21-megapixel camera with dual LED flash.
Inside of the Liquid Jade Primo lives a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a microSD slot, and a 2870mAh battery. Acer has also included an “advanced cooling system” to ensure that the phone remains comfortable to hold, even when it’s pushed hard.
While the Liquid Jade Primo isn’t quite as high-end as the HP Elite x3, Acer’s phone is still pretty well-specced. It’s also a bit cheaper and comes bundled with a dock, keyboard, and mouse to help you get going with Continuum, which is a nice little bonus.
