The Rio Olympics are just weeks away, and now folks in the U.S. can prepare for the games with a Olympic-themed smartphone.
Samsung’s Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition is now available in the U.S. The special edition Android phone is being sold by Best Buy and is priced at $849.99, a slight premium over the standard Galaxy S7 edge and its $769.99 price tag.
The Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition features a design inspired by the Olympic rings. It’s got a black body, red power button, green volume buttons, yellow accents on the earpiece, a blue accent on the rear camera housing and a blue Olympic rings logo stamped on its backside. This phone also includes special Olympics-themed software, with the colors of the Olympic rings incorporated into the UI, home and lock screens, and notification bar, as well as 2016 Olympic Games wallpapers.
This is actually the second special edition Galaxy S7 edge that Samsung has launched in recent months, coming after the Batman-themed Galaxy S7 edge Injustice Edition. That Batphone wasn’t actually sold to the public, though, so at least us regular folk can easily buy the Galaxy S7 edge Olympic Games Limited Edition. There are only 2,016 units available, though, so if you want one of these special phones, you’d better act fast.
