Snapchat is rolling out a big update today to make its emojis even better.
The new version of Snapchat enables emojis to move with whatever you attach them to rather than staying in a single place. With this new feature, you can stick an emoji to an object and it’ll automatically move with that object, including changing size and orientation. You can use multiple emojis in a single Snap, and you can also continue to use static emoji if you’d prefer your emoji to stay put.
This new Snapchat feature is rolling out to Android users starting today, April 13, with the iOS app receiving the update “shortly.”
Moving emoji can help to make your Snaps more fun and opens the door to more creative Snaps. For example, you can now place an emoji on a person’s face and it’ll move with them rather than you just slapping a static emoji in the corner of your Snap. The new moving emoji feature can also help Snapchatters to come up with creative new Snaps that aren’t possible with static emoji.
If you’re an Android Snapchat user, keep an eye out for the update today.
