Google Calendar isn’t the only Google-made Android app that’s getting an update today.
Google Photos for Android is receiving an update to version 1.18 that adds a manual backup option. The feature is exactly what it sounds like, letting you perform a backup whenever you’d like. Just tap the three-dot menu in the upper right portion of your display and select “Backup now.”
Google Photos automatically backs up your photos on a regular basis, but with manual backup, you can now ensure that the images you just captured are backed up to the cloud right away. It’s definitely a small addition, but it’s nice to have for folks that want to ensure that their images are backed up immediately.
