YouTube Gaming was announced way back in early June, promising to be a new hub for gaming content online. Google said at the time that YouTube Gaming would launch this summer, but now the rumor mill has given us a more specific release date.
YouTube Gaming is expected to launch tomorrow in the US and UK. Google hasn’t made any official announcements regarding an upcoming launch, but just hours ago, the official YouTube Gaming Twitter account posted a GIF of its heart logo beating, hinting that it’s ready to go live.

Gaming content has gotten pretty big lately with livestreams, Let’s Plays, and eSports. Twitch is the big name in the area, and it's been said that Google tried to buy Twitch, but ultimately Amazon ended up snatching Twitch up. YouTube is home to a lot of gaming content itself, but with YouTube Gaming, Google wants to beef up YouTube’s gaming support with dedicated game pages, 60 frames per second streaming, DVR functionality, livestream alerts, and more. The service will include Android and iOS apps.
