What’s next for HTC? It might be the phone that you see above.
Alleged photos of an HTC A9, aka “Aero,” have made their way online. The images show an HTC-branded phone next to an iPhone 6, looking a bit like an HTC version of Apple’s phone. The rear camera on the A9 is sitting above the top antenna band rather than below it like on the One M9, and the camera housing is round rattan than square like it was on the M9.
Around front we can see some more HTC branding as well as a display with 2.5D curved glass edges on the display. Unfortunately, it’s tough to make out many other details about the phone due to the poor quality of the photos.
Because the quality of these images is so low, and because HTC hasn’t actually announced anything about this phone yet, it’s possible that the device in these photos is just a dreamed up rendering from a random Internet user. The phone looks to have a premium construction, something that HTC has been known for in the past, but we’ll just have to wait for more conclusive evidence of this A9’s existence before we get too engrossed by it.
