Samsung’s already got a few variants of the Galaxy S6, but according to some new leaks, another model is in the works.
Recent leaks from HDblog.it and SamMobile suggest that Samsung is prepping a device called the “Samsung Galaxy S6 Plus” for debut in the coming weeks. The phone will reportedly feature a 5.4-inch or 5.5-inch dual-edge curved display, like the one found on the Galaxy S6 edge. The GS6 Plus will also reportedly include a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor, 16-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel front cameras, and 32GB of storage.
Today popular YouTuber Marques Brownlee added to the Galaxy S6 Plus rumors with a pair of images that allegedly show the device. In a new video, which is embedded above, Brownlee shows photos of the front and rear of a dual-edge curved Samsung smartphone that he suggests is the Galaxy S6 Plus (the GS6 Plus portion begins at around 3:40).
So is the Galaxy S6 Plus the real deal? That’s still a mystery for now, but there appears to be a lot of smoke building from this rumored fire. And it’s not like Samsung is a stranger to releasing multiple variants of its flagship hardware. We’ve seen Active and Mini variants of many Galaxy S phones, and Samsung even released a Plus version of the Galaxy S5 in 2014.
