Every time an Android 5.0 or 5.1 update begins rolling out, most Nexus 9 owners wonder “What about me?” Well good news, N9-ers, your time is coming soon.

Sascha Prüter, an Android Engineering Program manager for Google, says that the Nexus 9’s Android 5.1 over the air (OTA) updates “aren’t far out.” Prüter goes on to explain that the team working on the N9 are taking care of some last-minute bugs, but because he doesn’t work directly on the N9 himself, he can’t give a timeline for when an update might begin to roll out.

The Nexus 9 is still on Android 5.0, and now that we know of Android 5.1.1’s existence, many N9 owners are wondering why they haven’t yet been bumped up to Android 5.1 since they’ve got a Nexus device. And while we still don’t know exactly when the update will begin, I'm sure many N9-ers will be happy to hear anything about an update that's in the works for their tablet.
