We’ve known that the Galaxy S6 would launch on Cricket Wireless ever since the device was announced in early March, but we’re just now finding out exactly when the prepaid operator will begin selling Samsung’s new flagship.
Cricket will launch the Samsung Galaxy S6 on April 24, and the phone will be compatible with Cricket's newly-announced Phone Payment Plans. Customers will be able to get the GS6 for with a down payment of $19.99 with a credit check and smartphone plan, or they can pay $49.99 and get a 90 days same-as-cash plan with no credit check. Alternatively, you can pay $649.99 and own the GS6 outright.
A few years ago, it could take months for a new flagship smartphone to make its way to prepaid operators, if it launched on those services at all. it’s nice to see that that’s now changing, with the GS6 hitting Cricket just days after it launched at major U.S. carriers.
