After several leaks and rumors, Verizon has finally announced its plans to launch the Nexus 6.
Verizon will begin selling the Nexus 6 online on March 12 and in stores on March 19. Pricing for the N6 will be $249.99 with a two-year contract, or if you’d prefer to pay for the device through monthly installments, you can go the Verizon Edge route and pony up $27.08 per month for 24 months.
The Nexus 6 that Verizon is selling is exactly the same as the regular Nexus 6, spec-wise, and it comes with Android 5.1 in tow. It also support Verizon’s Advanced Calling 1.0 feature that offers HD voice calling and simultaneous voice and data and it has a Verizon tattoo on its backside.
While the Nexus 6 that you can buy from Google Play has been shown to work with Verizon, that device is only available for full retail price. Verizon offers on-contract and monthly installment options, though, making the Nexus 6 an option for folks that can't or don't want to pony up $650 or $700 all at once for a new phone.
