Oppo made headlines in late 2013 when it unveiled the N1, a device with a single 13-megapixel camera that sat on a swivel, allowing you to rotate it 206 degrees and use it as both a rear and a front camera. Apparently Oppo really liked that feature, because a new teaser shows that it may have another phone coming soon with the same feature.
Today Oppo posted the image you see above to its Google+ page. The image shows the rear of a phone with a faux leather Samsung-ian rectangle at its top, and inside of that is a camera and a dual LED flash. The rest of the phone looks to be a smooth plastic, suggesting that the faux leather portion with the camera is rotatable.
The image also includes the caption “It’s Your Turn,” which could also be a hint at a rotating camera that can be used for selfies. Finally, the post includes the hashtag “#OPPON3.”
Outside of what’s likely a swiveling camera, it’s not known what kind of features the Oppo N3 might include. The Oppo N1 was a pretty high-end handset when it debuted last year, though, packing a 5.9-inch 1080p display, quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor, 13-megapixel rear camera and 3610mAh battery. I’m guessing that Oppo will take things up a notch with the N3, likely including a beefier processor.
Did you ever handle an Oppo N1? Are you looking forward to the N3?
