Android L will bring with it a fresh new look when begins rolling out to the public, and Google has crafted some fresh new Android commercials to go along with it.
A trio of newly-leaked ads have made their way online, showing Google’s fresh look for its Android promo and slogan. The ad that most folks will focus on shows five Androidified people at a bus stop when a phone begins ringing. After two Androids determine that it’s not their phone that’s ringing, the tiniest Android whips out a gigantic phone that looks similar to the Nexus 6 running Android L. The ad then says “All kinds of phones for all kinds of folks” followed by the Android logo with the tagline “Be together. Not the same.”
The other two ads include a similar art style but don’t show off any hardware. They show large groups of Androids, both packed into a van and surrounding a big speaker, jamming out to “Whoomp! There It Is” and “This Is How We Do It.”
These ads don’t show much in the way of new information about the Nexus 6 or Android L, but they do show the new direction that Google will be taking its Android advertising in. The ads are playful and fun, and I think that they’ll appeal to a lot of folks. You can check out all three ads on Derek Ross’s Google+ page.
