It looks like the rumors of an October debut for Verizon’s new DROID were spot on.
Verizon’s DROID DOES website is now back online, complete with a countdown that’ll end on October 28 at 12:00 p.m. ET. Beneath the countdown it says “Launch date set. All will be revealed.” Meanwhile, floating above the countdown is a black silhouette that looks a lot like the DROID Turbo that we’ve seen leak in the past. You can see the dark slab all on its own below.
The DROID Turbo is expected to be the next member of Verizon’s DROID family of devices. Made by Motorola, the Turbo is expected to include a 5.2-inch QHD display, 21-megapixel rear camera, a beefy battery and Motorola’s suite of custom Android apps. We’ve already got a pretty good idea of what the DROID Turbo looks like thanks to past leaks, but thanks to the DROID DOES site, we finally know when the thing will actually be announced.
