Google is officially expected to unveil the Motorola Nexus 6 any day now, but thanks to a well-known leaker, it appears that we don’t have to wait to get a good look at the next smartphone that many Android fans will be drooling over.
What appears to be an official image of the Motorola Nexus 6 has been shared by Evan Blass, the leaker that used to go by the name @evleaks. The device in the image has a body that looks similar to the Moto X (2014), complete with a curved backside and volume/lock buttons that are near the center of the phone’s side, which would presumably make them easy to reach on a phone with a 6-inch display.
The screen of the phone shows Android L with its new navigation buttons and. updated app icons. We can also see “5:00” in its status bar, which is likely a hint at Android L being Android 5.0.
The Nexus 6 is rumored to be the biggest Nexus smartphone to date, offering a 5.92-inch 2560x1440 display. We’ve also been told to expect a 13-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing shooter and a beefy battery. It’s been said that the Nexus 6 will be announced by Google in October, so it shouldn’t be long before we get a glimpse of the real thing.
