Yesterday the Motorola DROID Turbo’s official user guide leaked, giving us a peek at the phone itself and revealing several of its spec details in the process. One important feature was missing from that leak, but thankfully that’s been rectified today.
A listing for a Motorola EQ40 battery has been discovered on Chinese retailer TaoBao’s website. The EQ40 is listed as having a capacity of 3900mAh battery. What makes this interesting is that the Motorola DROID Turbo’s FCC listing said that the Turbo will include an EQ40 battery, which suggests that the DROID Turbo will come with a 3900mAh battery.
Motorola’s DROID devices, specifically the MAXX models, have been known for having extremely beefy batteries, so it’s not too surprising to hear that the DROID Turbo may continue that tradition. The Turbo may not have “MAXX” in its name, but it appears as though Motorola is only releasing one new DROID this year rather than several like it has in past years, so the Turbo will just be the one DROID to rule them all with a MAXX-sized battery.
Now that the details on the DROID Turbo are starting to come together, are you getting interested in the device?
