HTC recently launched a bevy of its unique Sense apps into the Google Play Store for easy updating. Included in the bunch is HTC Gallery, the app that lets users view all of the shots that they’ve taken. Today that app is getting a significant update, and HTC One (M8) owners aren’t the only ones that will benefit from it.
The HTC Gallery app is being updated with a new feature called Duo Effects Gallery. After updating, One (M8) users can upload their Duo Camera photos to a web viewer and let others interact with the shots using UFocus, Foregrounder and Dimension Plus. This means that anyone can have fun with an image’s depth of field and bokeh effects.
HTC also says that today’s HTC Gallery app update adds “Improvements,” but it didn’t offer any details on what they are.
It’s great to see HTC updating its apps with meaningful new features, and today’s HTC Gallery update just goes to show how awesome it is when manufacturers upload their apps to the Play Store for easy updating.
