Neither Sony nor Verizon has made any official announcements about a Verizon-version of the Xperia Z2, but apparently that won’t stop Sony from repeatedly posting images of just such a device.
After posting two images of a Verizon Xperia Z2 in May, Sony today shared a third image of a Z2 with a Verizon tattoo. This time it was Sony Mobile Indonesia's Facebook page doing the leaking, sharing an image that promotes its PicMix Adventures photo contest. The Facebook post has since been deleted.
A recent rumor suggested that we could finally see this Verizon Xperia Z2 launch in the middle of Q3 2015, which is around mid-August, complete with LTE-Advanced support. The Verizon Z2’s other specs are still a mystery, but if its anything like the international variant, it’ll pack a 5.2-inch 1080p display, 3GB of RAM and a 20.7-megapixel rear camera.
While we wait for Sony and Verizon to finally come clean with the news of this Xperia Z2 variant, you can check out the PhoneDog’s review of the international version below.
