The LG G3’s official debut may not be happening until May 27, but that doesn’t mean that LG can’t introduce the new handset’s accessories before that date.
LG today announced the QuickCircle Case, a new folder-style case that lets users perform several different functions without having to open the cover. Those actions include checking the time and date, sending calls and texts, taking photos, listening to music and checking their health.
Along with support for performing select actions with the cover closed, the QuickCircle Case protects the sides of the G3 itself and can emit a circular glow inside of the window when the case is opened or closed or when a call or text message is received. Finally, the QuickCircle Case is Qi-compatible, meaning that the G3 can be wirelessly charged while wearing this cover. LG says that it will also provide an SDK next month to allow developers to perform custom functions with the QuickCircle Case on.
The G3 QuickCircle Case will be available in Metallic Black, Silk White, Shine Gold, Aqua Mint and Indian Pink color options. Overall it looks like a nice evolution of the QuickWindow case that launched with the G2 last year, allowing users to perform several different actions quickly and easily.
There’s no word yet on how much the QuickCircle Case will cost, but with the G3’s debut less than a week out, I’m sure that it won’t be long until more details are revealed. Until then, you can check out a quick promo video for the QuickCircle Case below, followed by a gallery of the cover’s various color options.
