After being the subject of a couple of leaks last month, the white LG G2 for Verizon is now official and available for purchase from the big red carrier's website. In fact, the snowy G2 is part of Verizon's Cyber Monday sale and can be had for no charge when ordered with a new two-year contract. Other buying options include paying $20.90 per month on Verizon Edge or $499.99 full retail. It's also worth noting that Verizon is offering free activation and free two-day shipping as part of its Cyber Monday promotion.
The LG G2 is perhaps best known for its rear-mounted volume and power/lock buttons, which are located directly beneath the device's 13-megapixel rear camera. LG says that users are having an increasingly difficult time reaching the volume and power buttons on the sides of phones as they grow larger and larger, and so placing these keys on the back of the phone makes them easier to access since that's where a person's hand typically rests while using a phone.
In addition to its unique rear buttons, the G2 sports a 5.2-inch 1080p display, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and 3000mAh battery. All of these goodies come together to make the LG G2 a pretty highly-specced Android phone, and while LG's custom user interface that's running atop Android 4.2.2 may not appeal to everyone, getting a high-end device like the flagship G2 for free is a nice deal for Verizon customers in the hunt for a new handset. You can check the phone out yourself and be tempted by its "Add To Cart" button at the link below.
