For the month of November, the HTC One retained the first place spot on PhoneDog’s Official Smartphone Rankings for a eighth month, fending off other popular smartphones. Though it secured the first place spot on the People’s Choice chart, the Expert’s Choice chart saw the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 rise to first place. With the holidays approaching and the shopping season in full swing, which devices will emerge victorious in December?
MT PLEASANT, SC – PhoneDog Media is pleased to announce the monthly winners for November 2013 in the Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR). For an eighth month, the HTC One held the first place position on the People’s Choice chart, receiving 1,597 reader votes. While the HTC One continued to lead on the People’s Choice chart, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 dominated the Expert’s Choice chart, with 191 expert points. Packing a 5.7-inch 1080p HD display and a quad-core processor, the Note 3 offers a wealth of new software features and an improved S Pen for content creation.
The Galaxy Note 3 took the second place position on the People’s Choice chart with 1,037 votes, while the Apple iPhone 5s garnered 144 expert points to take the second place spot. In third place on both charts, the LG (Google) Nexus 5 with 749 votes and 124 expert points. Popular amongst tech enthusiasts, the Nexus 5 offers a quad-core processor, 1080p HD display, and 4G LTE connectivity - along with a $350 unlocked price tag.
“While the back-and-forth continues between the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy Note 3, the LG Nexus 5’s price point makes it a device to watch,” said Aaron Baker, Director of Content and Partnerships at PhoneDog.
