In week 65 of PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™, the HTC One retained its lead on the Samsung Galaxy S 4, holding the first place positions on both the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice rankings.  With upcoming availability on Verizon Wireless, HTC has finally succeeded in creating one smartphone for the four major U.S. carriers.  Can it continue to compete with Samsung’s Galaxy S 4, of which 10 million units have been sold to date?

MT PLEASANT, SC – June 2, 2013 – For 64 weeks and counting, PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) has become the gold standard for ranking the best smartphones on the market by placing votes from readers and experts alike in respective charts each week. Week 65 of the program ended with the HTC One on top of the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice charts, continuing its lead against the Samsung Galaxy S 4.  Available on AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile - with upcoming availability on Verizon Wireless - the One has received praise for its metal exterior and fluid performance.

Samsung’s Galaxy S 4 remained in second place on the People’s Choice chart with 144 votes, while the Samsung Galaxy Note II held steady in third place with 57 votes.  The Google Nexus 4 retained its spot in fourth place with 48 votes, while the Nokia Lumia 920 fell to fifth place with 40 votes.  On the Expert’s Choice Chart, the Samsung Galaxy S 4 held the second place position with 45 points, while the Apple iPhone 5 remained in third place with 28 points.  In fourth place, the Samsung Galaxy Note II with 18 points, while the fifth place position was awarded to the Google Nexus 4 with 17 points.
