Do you smell that new plan scent? That's courtesy of Cricket, which revealed this morning that it's got some new family plans as well as some refreshed iPhone offerings. First up, Cricket is now offering a family plan that includes two smartphone lines for $40 per month per line. Included with the plan is Muve Music access as well as unlimited talk, text and data, though users will have their data speeds throttled after 1GB of usage in a single cycle. Cricket also notes that in order to qualify for the new family plan, customers must enroll for the carrier's Automatic Bill Pay feature.
Cricket also has also refreshed its offerings for iPhone customers. The cheapest plan is priced at $50 per month and includes unlimited talk, text and data (1GB of high-speed data) as well as mobile hotspot. There are also $60 and $70 offerings that include all of the features of the $50 plan, but bump up the full-speed data allotment to 2.5GB and 5GB, respectively. The $60 and $70 plans also include data backup.
All of Cricket's new and revamped plans are available for purchase through its website, and the offerings should also be available through the carrier-owned stores as well. The new $40 per line family plan looks like an interesting offering for anyone looking to sign up for a pair of smartphones on Cricket, as it gives customers a $10 per line per month discount on the $50 smartphone plan just for signing up for Automatic Bill Pay.
