Well, looks like the mystery surrounding LG's May 1 event in New York City isn't much of a mystery any longer. The company just followed up its save the date with another invitation,  revealing that the LG Optimus G Pro will be attending the big shindig. The new invitation also reveals that the "Share the Genius" tagline from the save the date was in reference to the band Atlas Genius, which will be performing at the event.

LG has previously said that the Optimus G Pro would be making its way to North America, and now that we know that the focus of this May 1 event (besides being an opportunity to jam out to Atlas Genius) will be the 5.5-inch handset, it seems likely that LG will share more details on the Optimus G Pro's U.S. travel plans. The rumor mill has suggested that the Optimus G Pro could be hitting AT&T later in May, but so far that's the only U.S. carrier whose name has been attached to the device.
