Remember yesterday when we got wind of unannounced Verizon-bound HTC and Nokia handsets thanks to a leak from the big red carrier's device management system? Well now we've got another mystery device to keep track of thanks to that system. Engadget has been sent a photo of the from Verizon's computers that shows an entry for a device referred to as "HTC - Desire 4G LTE," and as the name suggests, the phone features LTE connectivity. Unfortunately for us, no other details about the Desire 4G LTE are available.
HTC has used the Desire branding for a couple of phones in the past, like the original HTC Desire that hit U.S. Cellular and the Desire HD that was available overseas (and was rebranded as the Inspire 4G for AT&T), but Verizon has yet to release a Desire device so far. This new model is a bit of a mystery for now, but as Engadget notes, there are a couple of recently-introduced Desire handsets that could end up hitting Big Red's shelves under the Desire 4G LTE moniker. Of course, it's also possible that this is an entirely new phone. Whatever the case, it's interesting to see that HTC's Desire branding could be making its way to a new carrier. We'll keep an eye out for more information and update you with anything we find.
