The Samsung Galaxy S III is shaping up to be the all-around best smartphone as both variants (global and U.S.) take four of the top spots in the People's Choice Chart and Mobile Tech Expert's Chart in PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™. MT. PLEASANT, SC - For 18 weeks running, PhoneDog Media’s Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) has set the standard for ranking the market's hottest smartphones. For the fifth consecutive week, the Samsung Galaxy S III (global) held its #1 spot in the People's Choice Chart. However, the 93 point lead over the HTC One X in the People's Choice Chart was narrowed to a mere 37 points this week. For the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart, the Samsung Galaxy S III sealed the top spot for the second week in a row, trumping both the Apple iPhone 4S and HTC One X by 21 points.
In the People's Choice Chart, the HTC One X held its second place position. Rising from seventh to third place, the Samsung Galaxy S III bested the HTC EVO 4G LTE by just 21 votes. And the Motorola DROID RAZR MAXX dropped from the #3 spot to #5. The Apple iPhone 4S garnered 35 points from the Mobile Tech Experts this week, tying the HTC One X for second place. In third is the Samsung Galaxy S III (global) with 22 points.
